Kingsman The Secret Service (8)

Months of speculation were answered Friday night at Comic-Con when Mark Hamill finally appeared on screen. It was not, however, for that little sci-fi movie he’s making. It was to introduce a new clip from Kingsman: The Secret Service, Matthew Vaughn‘s latest film adaptation of a Mark Millar comic book. Hamill has a small role in one of the film’s opening scenes and they played the whole thing during the panel. Read about the Kingsman: The Secret Service Comic Con panel below.

Kingsman trailer

The trailer for the new film from Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn is here. Kingsman: The Secret Service sees Vaughn working once again from source material by Kick-Ass author Mark Millar. This time, he adapts the Millar and Dave Gibbons comic The Secret Service, with Colin Firth in the role of a highly competent intelligence agent who takes on a promising new trainee (who also happens to be his nephew). Wolverine sequel

Fox has set a whole group of new release dates, including one that suggests a load of confidence in Fantastic Four, which hasn’t even shot yet. A second Fantastic Four outing will now be seen in 2017, with a Wolverine sequel also set to hit screens again that year. 20th Century Fox shuffled their 2015 deck today, moving major movies from the winter to spring, spring to summer and everything in between. Here’s the rundown.

  • Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four has moved from March 6, 2015 to June 19, 2015.
  • Matthew Vaughn‘s The Secret Service will now be released March 6, 2015, instead of November 11, 2014.
  • Michael Fassbender‘s Assassin’s Creed will be unleashed two months later, moving to August 7, 2015 from June 19, 2015.
  • Susan Cooper, Paul Feig‘s next film starring Melissa McCarthy, has been dated May 22, 2015.
  • An untitled Vince Vaughn movie, from Delivery Man director Ken Scott, will open October 24, 2014.

The Secret Service

Matthew Vaughn‘s The Secret Service is loaded with big, established stars like Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Michael Caine. But when it comes to the film’s younger cast members it seems Vaughn prefers fresher faces.
