If you thought Fuller House was the only spin-off sequel series to the cheesy ’90s sitcom Full House we were going to get, you thought wrong. Hot on the heels of a second season order for Fuller House, yet another spin-off series has been revealed.
Full House Nights follows Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), and Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) after they put the girls to bed in the original series. Because that’s when they turn into night time detectives of San Francisco. And if that sounds like something you just can’t wait to see, then you can check out a clip below. Read More »

Unfortunately, we have no idea when/if we’ll get another feature film from Spike Jonze, the director who brought us Her, Where the Wild Things Are, Adaptation and Being John Malkovich. That’s definitely a bummer, but to hold us over, Spike Jonze brought his filmmaking talents to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert by shooting a sweet short film to open the show instead of the usual lively title sequence. There’s even a familiar friendly face that makes an appearance to make it even more wonderful. Read More »
It’s been over a week since the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debuted, and fans are still watching it on repeat, dissecting every single frame for clues, and trying to understand why the Jedi have become myth in the Star Wars universe. And that includes late night personality Stephen Colbert.
As the The Late Show host, who didn’t have new episodes last week, said on his show last night, “This was not a 10-second slow fade teaser. None of that BS. This was a real trailer with actual chunks of movie flavor crystals in it. And I was deeply moved.” In fact, Colbert was so affected by the trailer that he took a couple minutes out of his show to guess the entire Star Wars: The Force Awakens plot. Read More »

We’re in the heart of summer, and while blockbuster season is keeping us occupied for the time being (not to mention Comic-Con next week), a part of me looks forward to the fall when new TV shows start to hit the air. One of those shows will be The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and a new taste of what we can expect from David Letterman’s replacement has just surfaced.
We’ve already seen a hilarious teaser for The Late Show, where Colbert shaved the famous “Colbeard,” but now he’s done some serious prepping for the show by taking over the public access show Only in Monroe, straight from Monroe, Michigan. And who better for Colbert to interview than Michigan native and rapping sensation Eminem. Oh, and the interview goes on for 20 minutes. It’s just as awesome as you’d expect it to be.

Just last month, David Letterman bid farewell to The Late Show on CBS, a program he helped make a comedic institution. And this fall, former Comedy Central political satirist Stephen Colbert will get behind the desk on the late night talk show.
Since leaving behind The Colbert Report, the comedian has been rather busy elsewhere, and he even grew a magnificent beard, biding his time until he invades the late night circuit. But now the hype machine for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has officially begun with the first teaser arriving today. And if you’ve come to enjoy the host’s facial hair that lovingly became known as “The Colbeard,” you might want to sit down before watching this video.

Any long-time viewer has their own personal favorite moment from David Letterman‘s 30-year career in late night TV, and quite a few of those memories probably involve Bill Murray. The actor was Letterman’s first guest in both incarnations of his show, and has sat down for many other interviews with the host.
Last night, for Letterman’s next-to-last episode of The Late Show, Murray jumped out of a cake before settling in for the interview while covered with cake and frosting which he smeared all over the chairs and Letterman himself. (Thus creating a proper bookend bit of vandalism to match his first appearance at the Ed Sullivan theater, when he spray-painted “Dave” on the front of Letterman’s desk.) Then they drank vodka, and lots of it.
The conversation featured a highlight reel culled from Murray’s many appearances on Dave’s shows, and some talk about the actor’s long career. Watch it all below. Read More »
