The Gunman Sean Penn

It’ll be at least a couple years before Taken 4 comes out — if it ever does come out — but while we wait, The Gunman might be able to tide you over. Directed by Pierre Morel (of the first Taken), The Gunman stars Sean Penn as Jim Terrier, a former Special Forces soldier and military contractor suffering from PTSD.

All he wants is to reconnect with his love, but circumstances get in the way. He has information that has certain very dangerous people wanting him dead, and he goes on a globe-trotting mission to clear his name. Watch The Gunman international trailer after the jump. Read More »

Gunman trailer

Taken director Pierre Morel has recruited a pretty amazing roster of dudes for his latest film The Gunman: Sean Penn, Javier Bardem, Idris Elba, Ray Winstone and Mark Rylance all feature in the movie. The story, despite being based on a well-regarded novel, looks like boilerplate stuff, as Penn is a special ops sniper who is targeted by his own group and, as a defense, threatens to expose all their covert actions. In this Gunman trailer there’s some real serious face from Penn, some grandstanding by Bardem, and Winstone and Elba playing the wise and maybe-helpful voices. Oh, and of course there’s (sigh) a kidnapped woman (Jasmine Trinca) to add some extra urgency. Check out The Gunman trailer after the break. Read More »
