Most would probably rank the first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron a 10 of 10 on the awesome scale. Well this video ranks the same on the adorable scale.
The YouTube channel The Fine Bros. recruited a bunch of kids to sit down and watch the trailer totally cold. They had no idea what they were about to see. Their reactions are priceless, from excitement to horror to complete and utter lack of giving a crap. Check out the video below. Read More »
There are two times in the year when people typically recap the previous year’s movies: At the beginning of the new calendar, and right around the Oscars. The former makes logical sense but the latter works too. It is, after all, the official end of the year in film. When Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Director and more are crowned at the Academy Awards, it’s time to move on to the next thing.
That’s where we find ourselves now, with this year’s 85th Annual Academy Awards mere days away.
The Fine Brothers, notorious spoilers of movies through YouTube videos, have just released their Oscar edition spoiling 50 of the biggest movies in 2012. That might sound boring but these guys do it in one take and under five minutes. It’s an impressive feat of writing, speech and acting. Check it out below but, of course, beware of spoilers. The endearingly geeky, impressively fast-talking Fine Brothers are at it again. The same guys who managed to sum up nearly five decades of Doctor Who in six minutes and every single Best Picture winner through 2009 in five minutes have now released “50 Animated Spoilers in 3 Minutes.” (Spoiler alert: They actually make it in two minutes and thirty seconds. But I guess “50 Animated Spoilers in 2 Minutes and 30 Seconds” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.)
The Fines don’t discriminate when it comes to ruining endings — the video touches upon everything from enduring childhood classics like An American Tail and adult-oriented favorites like South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut to long-forgotten endeavors like Fluppy Dogs. Watch the video after the jump.
As someone who finds the 200-something episodes of Joss Whedon’s Buffyverse plenty daunting, I can’t even begin to imagine tackling Dr. Who. The long-running British television show spans 47 years, over 700 episodes, and eleven different incarnations of the titular character. Dr. Who‘s long, convoluted history can be tough for even a devoted fan to keep straight, to say nothing of newcomers just tuning in for the first time.
Luckily, the Fine Brothers (whom you may recall from the time they upset Damon Lindelof with their biting Lost parody series) have taken it upon themselves to recap nearly five decades of Dr. Who in just six minutes. Terms like “TARDIS,” “Torchwood” and “Daleks” are explained, as are the costume changes and major plot points from each Doctor’s term. Whether you’re looking for an introduction or just a refresher, it’s worth checking out. Watch it after the jump.
