The Girl In The Spider's Web Trailer

Update: A second (and completely different) trailer has arrived online.

Lisbeth Salander, aka The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is back, and she’s got a whole new look. The Crown actress Claire Foy steps into the role for the new film The Girl In The Spider’s Web, which draws inspiration from Stieg Larsson‘s Millennium trilogy. Watch the Girl In The Spider’s Web trailer below.

borg vs mcenroe trailer

Shia LaBeouf slowly makes his Hollywood comeback with what promises to be another tour-de-force performance.

In the sports drama Borg vs. McEnroe, LaBeouf plays the real-life tennis player John McEnroe, known for his fiery temperament and court-side outbursts. He stars opposite Swedish star Sverrir Gudnason, who plays McEnroe’s most famous rival, Björn Borg.

Sverrir Gudnason

Meet your new Mikael Blomkvist.

Norwegian actor Sverrir Gudnason has been cast as the male lead in The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Sony’s sequel to David Fincher’s English-language adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Gudnason is taking on the role of Mikael Blomkvist, the intrepid journalist who becomes a wary ally of Lisbeth Salander (now played by The Crown star Claire Foy). The Blomqvist role was previously played by Daniel Craig in Fincher’s adaptation and Michael Nyqvist in the Swedish films.

Borg McEnroe

It’s unlikely that George R.R. Martin was inspired to write his A Song of Ice and Fire novels by watching tennis legends Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe face off on the court, but considering the players’ nicknames were Ice and Fire, it wouldn’t be entirely ridiculous. (Mostly ridiculous? Yes.) The Swedish Borg was “Ice,” cool, calm and collected; McEnroe, a notoriously hot-headed New Yorker, was “Fire.” The two faced each other a number of times throughout the late ’70s and early ’80s, developing one of the sport’s most epic rivalries.

Now they’re getting the biopic treatment with a film called Borg/McEnroe. Swedish actor Sverrir Gudnason is playing Borg, but the big draw for me is that Shia LaBeouf – who’s been known to be quite the hot-head himself over the years – is playing McEnroe. Check out the first international Borg/McEnroe trailer below.
