Minority Report promo

A few months ago we saw the first Minority Report promo, showing off Fox’s new series that picks up the story of Steven Spielberg’s feature film. Now there’s a new one, which has more details on the sci-fi crime series.

Ten years after the events of the film, cops still use high-tech tools to fight crime and solve cases, but the predictive precog program is gone. One detective, Lara Vega, played by Meagan Good, runs across the mysterious Dash (Stark Sands) while trying to solve a case. Dash is one of the three former precogs, now living as far off the grid as he can manage. His twin brother, Arthur, now played by Nick Zano, is missing, and Dash is having distressingly incomplete precognitive visions without him.

Fox is still keeping Arthur in hiding, even after adding Zano to the cast. (Sands had previously played both precog brothers.) But this new Minority Report featurette reveals a bit more of the show’s approach to science fiction, crime, and adventure. Read More »

Minority Report TV show

The cast and producers of Fox’s Minority Report TV series gave a panel for the Television Critics Association today. It is the first series ever adapted from a Steven Spielberg-directed movie, and takes place 10 years after the film. Pre-crime has been abolished, per the film, and the movie’s three precog characters now live in hiding. We’ve got loads of new info on the show, as well as the first poster, below. Read More »

‘Minority Report’ TV Series Adds New Lead

Minority Report cast

Casting twins is always tricky; is it better to use two similar actors, or actual twins, or one actor to play both roles? We’ve seen it done via all these methods, and while it was once very difficult to have one actor convincingly play twins (see all the effort put into Jeremy Irons’ performance for Dead Ringers), digital effects make it a lot easier, on the technical side at least, for one actor to do the job.

The Minority Report TV series originally cast one actor, Stark Sands (above, right), to play precog twins Dash and Arthur. But there’s been a shakeup to the Minority Report cast, or rather an addition. Nick Zano (One Big Happy) has signed on to play Arthur. Read More »

Minority Report

Of the great many film to TV adaptations planned for the next few seasons, one of the most promising looks to be Fox’s Minority Report. Picking up ten years after Tom Cruise brought about the end of pre-crime program in Minority Report the movie, Minority Report the show follows one of the three pre-cogs, Dash (Stark Sands).

Though he’s trying to live a normal life, Dash finds himself still haunted by visions of the future. He’s able to put his gifts to use once more after he teams up with Lara (Meagan Good), a clever police detective. Watch the latest Minority Report teaser, featuring new footage from the show, after the jump. Meagan Good in Deception

Fox’s Minority Report TV pilot has been busy over the past week, picking up three Precogs and a non-Precog lead. Laura Regan and Stark Sands (the latter in a dual role) will play the three clairvoyants, while Meagan Good plays a regular old human who gets involved with them.

The trio join Li Jun Li, who plays a CSI technician, and Daniel London, who reprises the role of Wally the Caretaker from the 2002 movie. More on the Minority Report casting after the jump.  Read More »
