Snoke Episode 9

Andy Serkis isn’t fully convinced we’ve seen the last of Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars films.

I spoke with the actor yesterday about his work in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, in which he reprises his role as the villainous Ulysses Klaue, and I couldn’t resist asking him a quick question about the recent events in a galaxy far, far away – specifically, how he reacted when he first read about Snoke’s ultimate fate in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But his answer implied that perhaps that memorable scene wasn’t quite as final as it appeared.

snoke apprentices

Update: A very interesting line from another Star Wars book has added another twist to this story. We’ve added the details to the post below.

Another twist has been thrown into the Star Wars canon, but not by Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s doing. The latest Star Wars film has made a huge impact on the galaxy far, far away that will echo in the movies to come, but ironically, one of the biggest bombshells was just revealed outside of the film itself.

Star Wars Insider Magazine’s special souvenir Star Wars: The Last Jedi issue revealed that Kylo Ren is not the only one of his kind. The official Lucasfilm publication revealed that Supreme Leader Snoke has trained “at least one other apprentice” apart from Kylo. snoke mega star destroyer first look

Supreme Leader Snoke has to have a ship befitting his title, and now we have further confirmation that this ship will be the Mega Star Destroyer, purported to be the largest starship we’ve seen in the Star Wars universe (no the Death Star doesn’t count).

Details emerge thanks to the release of the BB-9E Sphero toy, which came equipped with an app that gave us some more technical details on the ominous-sounding Mega Star Destroyer that we will see in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars The Last Jedi Snoke Rumors

Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) is going to do a lot more than dish out insults from a big chair in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will come face-to-face with his grumpy mentor in Rian Johnson‘s film. While there was speculation Snoke was going to be brought to life as a puppet this time around, that’s not the case. Serkis will still play the character via motion capture…but he’ll have some fancy new protectors in the form of the Praetorian Guard.
