Last year there were some rumblings that Chris Evans might be stepping away from acting, including his role as Captain America for Marvel Studios after he completed the final films in his current contract, the last being The Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 in 2019. The actor wanted to focus more on directing, but he eventually pulled back on thoughts of retirement and wasn’t necessarily eager to leave Captain America behind.
Now it sounds like his tune has changed entirely as a new interview has Evans flat out saying, “Listen, if Marvel wants me they got me.” Chris Evans not leaving Captain America certainly shakes up some theories fans have had about his passing the shield, but it’s definitely good news. Read More »
Production on Captain America: Civil War just wrapped over the weekend, and while some footage from the film was recently shown at D23 Expo, I wouldn’t count on the first official trailer for the Marvel Studios sequel arriving until later this year, maybe with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
In the meantime, there have been a lot of rumors floating around, including word on which superheroes align themselves with Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) when they end up at odds. The aforementioned footage from D23 essentially confirmed those rumors, but in case you needed more substantial evidence, some Captain America Civil War promo art has surfaced showing each of the teams, but beware of spoilers below. Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War is currently shooting in Germany with one week of production left, and while Marvel Studios stayed home from San Diego Comic Con International 2015, they did show up to Disney’s fan convention D23 Expo 2015 with Captain America (Chris Evans, who got a standing ovation), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and perhaps most importantly, footage from the 2016 release.

Before the first trailer for Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi drama The Martian debuted, 20th Century Fox teased the film with a viral video from the video archives of the Ares 3, the latest mission to Mars. And now a second viral video has debuted with Matt Damon and the rest of his crew being interviewed by a NASA psychologist after experiencing 10 days in isolation.
From the video it’s made pretty clear that Damon has no problem being stuck by himself for 10 days, with the most pressing question he has upon emerging being about Aquaman’s abilities. And honestly, it’s a perfectly valid question. Watch The Martian viral video after the jump! Read More »

Production is underway on Captain America: Civil War right now down in Atlanta, Georgia, and with a whole bunch of The Avengers (new and old) on the cast roster, it’s safe to say we can expect a pretty massive flick. And while the movie doesn’t arrive until May 6th, 2016, one of the cast members is wasting no time driving a wedge between our superheroes.
Jeremy Renner, who plays the skilled archer and former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye), took to Twitter yesterday with a little welcome card that teases the coming battle between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). When Ridley Scott‘s The Martian was first announced, it drew a lot of knee-jerk comparisons to Gravity thanks to its stranded-in-space hook. But as casting continues, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that The Martian is a different beast. For one thing, instead of just two lonely leads, The Martian boasts a star-studded cast that seems to get bigger by the day.
The latest big names to climb aboard are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sebastian Stan, and Mackenzie Davis, who join Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Michael Peña, Donald Glover, and Jeff Daniels. Hit the jump for more details on the latest The Martian casting.
