We don’t know plans for the Captain America 3 ending, and frankly wouldn’t say if we did. The film is still two years away and hasn’t started production yet. With The Winter Soldier coming to Blu-ray, however, the Russo Brothers just happen to be talking about the film. Some of the biggest questions they’re fielding surround the fate of Chris Evans‘ character. The last film gave him two formidable characters to whom he might pass the Captain America shield: Sebastian Stan‘s Bucky and Anthony Mackie‘s Falcon. With Evans’ Marvel contract running out soon, that pass seems like a viable option.
It becomes even more of a viable option when you look at Marvel’s first threequel, Iron Man 3, which wrapped up Tony Stark’s story in a nice bow with a fourth film nowhere to be seen. Could Chris Evans’ Captain America story be ending on May 6, 2016 with a new hero continuing the story? Yes and no, say the directors. Read More »

At this point, there’s every reason to expect that an actor with a major Marvel movie role will have signed a six-film deal. So this week’s revelation from Sebastian Stan of a nine-picture deal isn’t a huge surprise, despite the fact that it tops even Samuel L. Jackson’s epic deal. (As far as we know. Other cast members might have similar contracts.) But it does tell us a bit about what to expect from his character. Stan played Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The First Avenger, and has a significant role in sequel The Winter Soldier.
Since The Winter Soldier doesn’t open for a couple more weeks we won’t reveal any specifics of Stan’s potential future role with Marvel, but after the break we’ll indulge in a bit of speculation. Read More »
Having seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I can confirm the action this time around is much more guttural. The punches, the kicks, the crashes and falls all have a realistic weight to them. You can practically feel the bones crunching in the theater. Case in point: this awesome new Captain America Winter Soldier clip, which features Cap (Chris Evans) chasing the mysterious Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) after an assassination attempt. Who or what was shot at? You’ll have to wait until the film comes out April 4 for that answer, but below check out the excellent aftermath below. Read More »

The focus this time is on the Winter Soldier of the title (Sebastian Stan), specifically the amount of death and destruction he’s rained down on the world. Falcon (Anthony Mackie) gets a good chunk of screentime as well. Watch the video after the jump.

The trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier showed off brief flashes of the second character in the film’s title, and we’ve seen some concept art (such as the image above) that gave us a good idea of how the film had brought the character to the screen.
