The first full-length trailer for Homeland Season 5 begins with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) in a good place. She’s got a cushy private job in Berlin, she’s dating a handsome new fellow, and she finally seems to have taken to motherhood. Most importantly, she’s left behind the CIA, the source of her greatest triumphs and tribulations over the years.
… Or so she thought. This is still Homeland we’re talking about, after all. It’s not long before Carrie gets sucked back into a web of international intrigue involving shady government organizations, hackers, black-ops agents, and a rather pissed off Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin). Following the first domestic trailer released last month for Steven Spielberg‘s latest thriller Bridge of Spies, a new international trailer has surfaced across the pond, laying out more of the Cold War set true story starring Tom Hanks.
There’s some moments from the first trailer here, but there’s a slew of new footage that really digs into the meat of this captivating story, showing off plenty of what promises to be another stirring performance from Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can and Saving Private Ryan star as a man thrust into a precarious and dangerous situation in unfamiliar territory.

The first trailer for the new Steven Spielberg film Bridge of Spies will be out tomorrow, so you don’t have long to wait before seeing the first footage of Tom Hanks as James Donovan, the Brooklyn lawyer who negotiated the release of a US pilot in Berlin during the cold war. It’s not like we were ever looking forward to Adam Sandler‘s Grown-Ups 2 to begin with, but now I’m wondering if Happy Madison is actively trying to annoy a certain segment of the population. Specifically, the portion of the filmgoing audience that despises both Grown-Ups and The Twilight Saga, which I’m guessing is the vast majority of our readership.
Taylor Lautner is now in talks for a “fun” part in the comedy sequel, joining returning actors Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Maya Rudolph, and Salma Hayek as well as Project X star Oliver Cooper. The exact nature of Lautner’s character has not been revealed, but THR reports that he’ll be going “toe-to-toe” with Sandler’s character.
Like his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, Lautner’s struggled somewhat to build a career outside of the supernatural romance franchise. His big action thriller Abduction was a commercial disappointment, though it did better overseas, and while his name has popped up in association with a variety of different projects over the years, none of them have really panned out at this point. Still, Latuner seems to be trying to mix things up a bit. His involvement in Gus Van Sant’s next indie could be a nice step forward, but Grown-Ups 2 seems like two big steps back.
After the jump, 007 gets another new lady and we meet the folks who’ll try to beat down John and Jack McClane.
