It looks like this new Mad Max film is really happening, at long last. George Miller wrote and has planned to direct Mad Max: Fury Road, but the production has been delayed to the point where we wondered if it might evaporate in the African sun. The film has been discussed as the possible kick-off of a new trilogy, but first it has to shoot.

Stars Tom Hardy (who plays the new Mad Max) and Charlize Theron have both said shooting starts within weeks, and Theron has been spotted sporting a closely-cropped haircut, presumably for the role.

Now Fury Road has added another actor: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who made the jump from Victoria’s Secret model to actress thanks to Michael Bay and Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Read More »

As the race for the year’s most coveted trophies came to a close with this weekend’s Oscars ceremony, another much less prestigious awards competition was just getting started. Nominations have been announced for the 32nd Razzie Awards, handed out to the “worst achievements in film” each year.

Leading the 2012 list is Adam Sandler, whose involvement in Jack and Jill, Bucky Larson, and Just Go With It earned him a record-breaking eleven Razzie nominations. That’s more than twice as many as the previous record holder, Norbit star Eddie Murphy, received in 2007. Other standouts include Nicolas Cage, Ken Jeong, Sarah Palin, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I, and The Hangover Part II. Read the full list of nominees after the jump.

Bad Santa fans should definitely hit the jump for some of the most refreshingly honest sequel talk you’re likely to hear. Read More »

The video features a bunch of new footage from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It is almost like a new one and a half minute trailer released in the form of a clip-package music video.

New Poster: ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’

Yesterday the first full-length trailer dropped for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Now the poster is here, and it packs everything into the frame: Optimus, destruction, a space ship, Shia, and the film’s new leading lady. I don’t think there’s much more to say other than that you can see the whole thing after the break. Read More »

‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Trailer

With the exception of the look at the film given to a few invited writers, we haven’t seen any new footage from Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Dark of the Moon since TV spots hit for the Super Bowl and Daytona 500. In fact, we haven’t seen very much footage at all in general. That changes now as the new, full theatrical trailer is here, and you can see it after the jump. Read More »
