Thor: The Dark World will be the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two when it hits theaters on November 8, 2013. Director Alan Taylor has been shooting for several weeks now with a cast including newcomers Christopher Eccleston as the main villain Malekith, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in a dual role and many others along with returning cast members Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins and the rest.
It’s still very early in production though, early enough that casting is still ongoing. Richard Brake, best known for playing the murderous Joe Chill in Batman Begins, has been cast Thor’s older brother Tyr and Clive Russell, who will play Ser Brynden the Blackfish in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones, is a captain in Thor’s Einherjar fighting force.
