As Dom Toretto and Brian O’Conner rev their engines for Universal’s Fast & Furious 6, DreamWorks is preparing a high-speed franchise of its own. Last spring, the studio nabbed the rights to the EA Sports racing video game Need for Speed and set Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) to direct. Casting got off to a strong start last fall as Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper joined the cast, picking up Imogen Poots and Kid Cudi along the way. Now it’s bringing on some more grown-up talent, in the form of Michael Keaton. More details after the jump.

Ramon Rodriguez Getting Bigger Role in Next Transformers?
Posted on Tuesday, June 30th, 2009 by Brendon Connelly

When Michael Bay gets around to the next Transformers movie (and I expect it will be his next film, a year spent trying to get a ‘smaller’ picture off the ground possibly coming to nothing quite in time) there could be a beefier role for Ramon Rodriguez, Revenge of the Fallen‘s conspiracy nut Leo Spitz. There’s a piece at the LA Times’ Hero Complex blog today profiling the young actor, who does seem to be having a real growth spurt in his career right now. The story was written by Geoff Boucher who reports that Michael Bay “hinted” to him that TF3 would see Rodriguez step up to a bigger role. Ramon Rodriguez‘s character Leo runs the website which tries to uncover a conspiracy that giant robots are living on Earth. These videos appear on Leo’s blog.
For those of you who missed the action, check out the videos embedded after the jump. And watch carefully, because each of the home video recordings feature brief cameo appearances by Autobots and Decepticons.
