In its second weekend, Captain America: Civil War is still pulling in major cash, pulling in over $940 million worldwide and pushing the Marvel cinematic universe movies over $10 billion. Plenty of Marvel fans are heading back to theaters for the second round and beyond. But if you’ve decided to wait until the movie hits Blu-Ray and DVD later this year, maybe some new Captain America Civil War art will hold you over.
Poster Posse put together a little tribute to the Marvel Studios sequel by having their community put together some awesome artwork featuring Captain America, Iron Man and all the Avengers who have to choose a side in the battle. One of them even includes a Spider-Man influence, which is great since he was largely absent from the poster campaigns.

This past weekend, The Jungle Book exceeded box office predictions and studio expectations by pulling down over $103 million domestically, marking the second largest April opening ever. And since it’s already been in release internationally for two weeks now, it has nearly over $290 million worldwide. Now Poster Posse has delivered some cool The Jungle Book posters created by various artists, some of them being better than the official posters used to market the film in theaters. Check out a batch of our favorites after the jump. Read More »
Last weekend, Pixar’s Inside Out took audiences inside the mind of a young girl named Riley, and if you haven’t had the chance to see it yet, just know that the film will certainly pull at your heartstrings in the best way possible.
Pixar’s visualization of the voices in our head is full of charm, wit and tenderness, and Poster Posse has brought them to life in another way with a gallery of artwork honoring Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Anger (Lewis Black). They all get their own individual pieces while a couple puts them all in a single image.

This week finally brings Brad Bird‘s original Disney sci-fi adventure Tomorrowland to theaters. Just yesterday brought some early buzz on the film, and it doesn’t sound overwhelmingly good. Our own Peter Sciretta has seen it a couple times, and was a little disappointed, but has warmed up to it after revisiting. Everyone else can judge for themselves this weekend.
In the meantime, Poster Posse has decided to put together a small tribute to the film with a few wonderful pieces of artwork. Check out the Poster Posse Tomorrowland artwork below! Read More »
One of the biggest films of the spring may be the latest sci-fi creator from Neill Blomkamp, Chappie. Starring Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver, the film tells the story of an artificially intelligent robot which finds a place in human society. Buzz has been pretty solid on the film, which promises to combine action, drama and intelligence in a way that could only come from the mind of the director of District 9.
When a movie features robots, explosions, rap stars and giant mechs, you can be sure the Poster Posse is going to take notice. The online art collective has been making cool representations for several recent blockbusters: Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar, Big Hero 6, etc. and now they’re tackling Chappie. Cool Posts From Around the Web:
2014 is coming to a close, which means there are only a few more days left in the 35th anniversary of Ridley Scott‘s Alien. We recently pronounced the sci-fi masterpiece the director’s best film and there weren’t many arguments about that. Not only did the film create a star and a franchise, it set the standard for what sci-fi horror could be. The film’s designs and environments set a standard for what fans could expect from other films. Visually, Alien is just about as iconic as a movie can be.
Visuals are where the Poster Posse lives. The online poster collective has been making posters for all kinds of releases over the past year or so. To wrap up 2014, they’ve made at set of 35th anniversary Alien posters. Check out a few of our favorites below. Read More »
