Pitch Perfect 3 clip

The ladies are back, pitches. In Pitch Perfect 3, Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and the rest of the acapella-singing Bellas have graduated from Barden University and are looking for work in the real world. When they’re given a chance to sing together during a USO tour overseas, they jump at the chance, but the Bellas are going to have to face off against competition they’ve never faced before: musicians who use instruments other than their mouths.

In this new clip from the film, the Bellas meet their fellow performers and launch into a classic riff-off…which leads to a lot of confusion (and some pretty catchy tunes).

Pitch Perfect 3 trailer

The marketing for Pitch Perfect 3 is referring to this as “last call,” so there’s a chance that this truly is the final time audiences will be able to hang out with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, and the rest of the Bellas. And while this new trailer for the sequel promises a film that’s just as enjoyable as the first two, it might actually be a good idea for this franchise to go out on top after the curtain falls here, because it seems like it’s reached its natural conclusion.

Pitch Perfect 3 Trailer

Are all you pitches ready for one last round with the Bellas?

The first Pitch Perfect 3 trailer arrived online this weekend, giving us a much better idea of what the a capella group  featuring Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and more are up to for what appears to be their third and final outing together. All of the Bellas have graduated college now (well, almost all), and they’re having some trouble getting jobs and staying motivated.

Desperate for some semblance of purpose, the Bellas decide to get together for an overseas USO tour that apparently also doubles as some kind of competition. But this is the first time the Bellas will be facing musical groups who don’t just make music with their mouths. So how is that going to turn out? Watch the Pitch Perfect 3 trailer below to find out. John Lithgow in Pitch Perfect 3

The cast of the first Pitch Perfect already had quite the ensemble with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittan Snow and Anna Camp leading the Bellas, with Adam DeVine, Skylar Astin and Ben Platt playing Treblemakers, not to mention Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins as the dedicated a capella commentators. Pitch Perfect 2 beefed up things ever so slightly with Hailee Steinfeld and Chrissie Fit joining the ranks of the Bellas. And now another fantastic addition is coming to Pitch Perfect 3.

John Litghow has a decorated career includes Footloose, Harry and the Hendersons, The World According to Garp, Terms of Endearment,The Pelican Brief, the NBC series 3rd Rock from the Sun, Shrek, the underrated Orange County, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the Showtime series Dexter, This Is 40 and more recently a Golden Globe nominated turn as Winston Churchill in The Crown.
