When an Aussie unknown named Hugh Jackman was cast as Wolverine back in the late ’90s, it was doubtful that anyone would’ve predicted he’d still be playing the nearly ageless mutant a decade and a half later. For that matter, some would not likely have guessed that the X-Men franchise itself would last this long. But seven films later, both the series and its star are still going strong.

Which isn’t to say there haven’t been some changes. Fox’s X-Men universe has expanded over the years to include more heroes, more villains, and more versions of already established characters. One of the most exciting additions in the new X-Men: Days of Future Past is Peter Dinklage‘s Bolivar Trask, a scientist obsessed with mutants — and the threat they pose to humanity.

At a recent X-Men: Days of Future Past junket in New York City, I took the opportunity to sit down with Jackman, the series’ longest-running hero, and Dinklage, its newest villain — as well as Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker, the producers who’ve made it all happen. Watch the video interviews after the jump.

Robin Williams in The Angriest Man in Brooklyn trailer

New Yorkers aren’t exactly known for our sunny, upbeat demeanor. But even by the city’s surly standards, the character Robin Williams plays in his next movie has an attitude problem. He’s such an obnoxious jerk, in fact, that in the first Angriest Man in Brooklyn trailer, he causes his doctor (played by Mila Kunis) to snap and tell him he has 90 minutes left to live.

What ensues is a mad-dash scramble to try and set things right before time is up. Williams’ Henry attempts to quickly mend his relationships with his wife (Melissa Leo), his brother (Peter Dinklage), his son (Hamish Linklater), his friends… it turns out pretty much everyone who’s met him has reason to be unhappy with him. Watch the first Angriest Man in Brooklyn trailer after the jump.

Game of Thrones Season 4 header - Jon Snow

Even as HBO viewers the world over try to recover from last night’s True Detective finale, the network would like to remind you that there’s another acclaimed, buzzworthy HBO drama coming back up on the horizon. The new Game of Thrones Season 4 trailer opens on a fairly melancholy tone, as Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) bitterly recounts the horrors that have been visited upon her and her family.

Unfortunately for her but fortunately for us, the rest of the promo — along with some newly released plot synopses — suggest that Westeros’ troubles are far from over. Watch the Game of Thrones Season 4 trailer and get some new plot details after the jump.

Game of Thrones Season 3

We know, we know. The “teaser for a teaser” trend is getting out of hand. But after the epic, blood-soaked insanity that was Season 3 of Game of Thrones, we can’t help but latch on to whatever we can get of Season 4. And right now, that means we’re poring over these five action-packed Vines.

dinklage-case-of-you

The possibilities of online dating leads to a plausible romcom plot possibility: what if a guy liked a girl so much that he just reworked his own personality to match the details of her online profile? It’s basically Catfish, but softer. And so A Case of You stars Justin Long as the guy who gets into trouble when the girl he wants (Evan Rachel Wood) believes the personality he crafts from nothing, and then has to follow through.

But the important part is Peter Dinklage, who seems to be on hand as a barista who offers some simple word choice advice to Long’s character. He’s the highlight of the trailer you’ll find below. Read More »

DOFP Still 3

If X-Men: Days of Future Past wasn’t a simple summer comic book movie, people would probably be talking about it having one of the greatest casts ever assembled. Multiple Oscar-winners, Tony-winners, Emmy-winners, from top to bottom, Bryan Singer‘s cast for the fifth X-Men film, out May 23, is simply insane.

Many of those stars - Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage and so many others – are featured in the first batch of stills from the film. The trailer hits on Tuesday but, until then, you have this tease and these images. Check them out below. Read More »
