Chances are it’s going to be a good day when you wake up with a trailer description for the new Transformers movie in your inbox. And that’s what happened today. Our friends at the Italian site Bad Taste saw the teaser trailer for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel and Patrick Dempsey, and want to tell everyone about it. The teaser played in 3D at a large convention called the Giornate Professionali di Cinema di Sorrento in Sorrento, Italy which also, reportedly, screened footage from Paul Anderson’s The Three Musketeers 3D and the trailer for Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon will be released on July 1 and this teaser is rumored to be attached to The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and TRON: Legacy in the coming weeks. Read the description after the jump. Read More »

The clips show us director Michael Bay shooting a couple action sequences, and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and Patrick Dempsey say a few words about the new sequel. Shia even claims this is the best Transformers movie yet, with the bet set pieces yet (wait, didn’t he say that last time?). Watch the clips embedded after the jump.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
Perhaps the least surprising thing about the new trailer for Valentine’s Day is the final card that tells us the film will be released in February. That’s going some, though, because there’s absolutely nothing in the whole thing that will catch you off guard in any way. Judge for yourself, because we have it embedded below the break.
Is this familiarity a crippling thing though? The movie is certainly a star studded affair and seems to have lots of comic situations and broad scope for complex romantic entanglements. Those are the generic requirements for a picture like this aren’t they? Perhaps the truly clever twists and plot surprises are being kept back for when you’re actually watching the film. That was certainly the case with He’s Just Not That Into You, Love Actually and Feast of Love, the three films this one most closely resembles. I know that Joe Jonas is credited as providing the voice of a dog so that’s… something different, anyway.

It’s a crazy, mixed up world and we are all thankful for movies, new and old, that offer proof. After the jump, we’ll examine trailers stuffed with images and ideas so nuts they could make a turkey turn crimson. For example, one for the new independent film, Black Devil Doll, about a murderous black power enthusiast who is deep-fried in prison, only to return by way of Quija Board in the shape of an anthropomorphic, horny dummy. I’ve seen the film. It exists and belongs behind bars. Also discussed are Gone With the Pope (horribly awesome trailer of oh nine?), the new in-flight, creature feature Altitude, and Hausu, the wacky Japanese cat-horror classic being blessed by Janus Film/Criterion.

Garry Marshall (The Princess Diaries, Pretty Woman) has returned with a new romantic comedy – Valentine’s Day, which, you guessed it, will be released on Valentine’s Day weekend. Warner Bros has released a movie trailer for, what appears to be yet another paint-by-numbers glossy romcom. The film tells the story of intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles as they break-up and make-up based on the pressures and expectations of Valentine’s Day.
The catch? This film features a strong ensemble cast of actors and actresses that your girlfriend probably loves – Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsey, Jessica Biel, Emma Roberts, Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace. A film like this is sure to make a ton of money based on that cast alone.
After watching this trailer, you’re probably wondering if you have any other movie options to take a date to on Valentine’s Day weekend? The Robert Pattinson romantic drama Remember Me opens the same date. Fox’s adaptation of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief as well. But I would vote for the 3D rerelease of Disney’s classic Beauty and the Beast.

Cinematical has gotten a first look at the poster art for Disney’s half animated / live-action crossover Enchanted (movie trailer). Sure, we did post some of the early poster art back in March, and the official poster isn’t too far off from the conceptual art. You can click on the image to the right to enlarge.
In an animated fairy tale world, a young girl meets and falls in love with the handsome prince of her dreams. News of this romance upsets the prince’s mother, the evil queen, who uses her black magic to send the girl hurtling out of the animated world into the one place in the universe where there is no true love: modern day Manhattan. The now-real girl has to survive in New York City and find her way home again to her true love. Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Susan Sarandon star.
The online reception to the movie trailer has been for the most part negative, but I still think this film has potential as a family comic fantasy film.
Enchanted hits theaters on November 21st 2007.
