For a lot of Clone Clubbers, the only thing more fun than watching Orphan Black is talking about Orphan Black. There’s plenty to say about this show from week to week: It’s never short on cryptic clues or shocking twists, and lead Tatiana Maslany seems to find a new way to outdo herself every few episodes.
And now BBC America wants to lead that conversation. The network has just announced an after-show called After the Black, which will do for Orphan Black what AMC’s Talking Dead does for The Walking Dead. Read More »

After a couple of cryptic teasers, BBC America’s Orphan Black has finally served up a proper trailer for season 4. Tatiana Maslany, Tatiana Maslany, and Tatiana Maslany return to lead the sci-fi drama, which also stars Tatiana Maslany, Tatiana Maslany, Tatiana Maslany, and Tatiana Maslany. Though you’d be forgiven for occasionally forgetting that all of those Tatiana Maslanys are actually the same person. She’s that good.
Orphan Black‘s intricate web of conspiracy only got more tangled in season 3, and it doesn’t look like things are getting any simpler for the sestras in season 4. In typical form, Orphan Black‘s third season ended with a series of shocking revelations for the Clone Club — and also in typical form, things clearly aren’t going to get any simpler when the show returns. The new teaser borrows from Alice in Wonderland, sending our favorite sestras (plus one mysterious masked figure) down a metaphorical rabbit hole.

BBC America’s Orphan Black has quite the sprawling cast. There’s Sarah and her countless clone sisters, each of whom brings her own entourage of supporting characters; there are various antagonists and allies who weave in and out of the show; and as of this past season, there’s even a whole line of boy clones with all the extra baggage that entails. BBC America didn’t do an executive session for the Television Critics Association today. The company president, Sarah Barnett, just made a few quick announcements and introduced panels on The Last Kingdom and Doctor Who. This morning brought the nominations for the 67th Emmy Awards, and while the winners (and losers) won’t be revealed until September 20th on Fox, the nominations themselves are enough to stir up some conversation.
When it comes down to itt’s all a matter of personal preference, and the opinions of average viewers don’t always match up with what the Emmys have cooked up. But we can’t help but notice some of the more annoying snubs, as well as some wonderful surprises, in this year’s round of honorees.

The highly anticipated third season of Orphan Black premieres in the US on IFC and BBC America at 9 p.m. Saturday April 18. Before that, if you haven’t seen the first two seasons, it’s easier than ever to see catch them all for free.
