BBC America’s Orphan Black has quite the sprawling cast. There’s Sarah and her countless clone sisters, each of whom brings her own entourage of supporting characters; there are various antagonists and allies who weave in and out of the show; and as of this past season, there’s even a whole line of boy clones with all the extra baggage that entails. BBC America didn’t do an executive session for the Television Critics Association today. The company president, Sarah Barnett, just made a few quick announcements and introduced panels on The Last Kingdom and Doctor Who. So before BBC America cleared out for other networks, I asked Barnett a few questions about the future of Orphan Black. This morning brought the nominations for the 67th Emmy Awards, and while the winners (and losers) won’t be revealed until September 20th on Fox, the nominations themselves are enough to stir up some conversation.
When it comes down to itt’s all a matter of personal preference, and the opinions of average viewers don’t always match up with what the Emmys have cooked up. But we can’t help but notice some of the more annoying snubs, as well as some wonderful surprises, in this year’s round of honorees.

It’s easy to get jaded about Comic-Con. The food is terrible, the lines are long, and the panels can be hit-or-miss. But every year, there are a few moments that make you drop your cynicism and remember what makes it magical.
One of this year’s unexpected highlights came during the Orphan Black Comic-Con panel, when a fan stepped up to share a very personal story about how the show had helped ease her coming-out to her family.
