Poor Jim Gordon. The guy really wants to clean up Gotham, and is clearly willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. But in Season 1, he encountered, greed, corruption, and evil at every turn. And based on the fact that Season 2 is titled “Rise of the Villains,” we’re gonna guess that doesn’t really change in Season 2.
A fresh Gotham Season 2 promo and a bunch of new photos showcase some of the friends and foes Jim (Ben McKenzie) will be dealing with when the show returns in a few weeks. Of particular interest are new characters like GCPD captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis), billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan (James Frain), and his loyal sister / enforcer Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas). Watch the Gotham Season 2 promo and see the new photos after the jump.

That second issue is now taken care of, as Nicholas D’Agosto has been cast as Gotham‘s Harvey Dent. Read More »

Final Destination isn’t the kind of franchise that surprises — if you’ve seen any of the four previous installments, you probably already have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Final Destination 5. We were treated to a 3-D clip from the upcoming film, showing that scene familiar from any Final Destination movie: the moment when one of the characters has a horrifying vision of death, prompting him to get off the airplane / highway / roller coaster / stands / bus just before it comes true. Read details of the footage after the jump.

Over the past week there has been some casting movement on 5nal Destination, aka the fifth Final Destination movie. We haven’t reported some of it because, well, the movie was called 5nal Destination. And after the last couple films in the series, mustering up enthusiasm for this one is difficult. (Though there might be some reason to hope for a better outcome this time. More on that in a moment.)
Now, in addition to a couple more names, including the returning Tony Todd and surprising addition of David Koechner, there’s vague suggestion that someone in marketing or production has come to their senses and the film could be backing away from that ridiculous title. Read More »
Rocket Science is not about Science, nor is it about Rockets. It’s about that first High School love. In the running tradition of such films as Election, Rushmore, and Squid and the Whale, Rocket Science is about a unpopular high school student named Hal Heffner, who can’t spit out a complete sentence without stuttering.
