Considering A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas is a 3D, drug-induced Christmas story, it’s obviously going to be crazy. The first trailer bolstered that point as did the first batch of posters. Yahoo has just premiered a new batch of posters and after looking at these, “crazy” doesn’t seem to be a strong enough word to describe what we’re going to see come November 4. Of course, there’s Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) as seen above, but after the jump you’ll see Neil Patrick Harris with a big stick, a stoned Santa Claus, Jesus Christ, a creepy Danny Trejo and much more. It seems like the holidays creep up a bit earlier each year, doesn’t it? I started seeing Thanksgiving cards on drugstore shelves sometime around the middle of August, so now that we’re past Labor Day I suppose it’s about time we started thinking about Christmas. Four new posters have been released for A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, showing off such holiday-appropriate imagery as an apparently dead Santa, Kumar’s gift-wrapped crotch, and… some kind of robot servant holding a stack of French toast that’s caught on fire? I don’t even know. Check them out after the jump.

It’s been three years in real time since we last caught up with stoner buds Harold & Kumar (in 2008′s Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay) but it’s been six years of time within the movies since the two friends played by Kal Penn and John Cho last spent time together. Their third film, and their first in 3D (and first outright holiday movie) sees the pair reunited and, judging by the looks on their faces, back in trouble.
The first full official image of the pair and persistent scene-stealer Neil Patrick Harris is after the break. Read More »
Oh, look, a new Smurfs trailer. The good news is that this trailer is not as painfully horrible as the first one. The bad news is that it is still a trailer for The Smurfs
. But if you want to see mushroom houses, Gargamel (Hank Azaria
) on the hunt and a moment where Neil Patrick Harris
breaks down over the little blue creatures’ overuse of the word ‘smurf,’ then hit the jump. Watch out for the product placement, though. Read More »
Two films got release dates today: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas and Seth MacFarlane‘s directorial debut Ted both have spots on the calendar. But there’s a price (of sorts) as the Ashley Greene thriller The Apparition has been bumped from a fall date back to 2012. Details on all three after the break. Read More »
There is now a full-length trailer for The Smurfs, Sony’s live-action/animated hybrid which brings updated CGI versions of the Smurfs to New York City, where they run riot through the lives of Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays as they try to escape the clutches of the wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria). If that doesn’t sound like a horror film, that’s because you haven’t yet watched the trailer. Do so after the break, if you dare. Read More »
20th Century Fox has released a new international movie trailer for Blue Sky Studios’ computer animated film Rio. Directed by Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age, Robots, Ice Age: Meltdown, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs), and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Neil Patrick Harris, Rodrigo Santoro, George Lopez and Jake T. Austin, the story follows “a nerdy macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro. He embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, learning to open himself up to all that life has to offer along the way.”
Watch the trailer now embedded after the jump. Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
