Neighbors red-band trailers

In real life, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron are separated by a mere five years in age. But even a few years can make a big difference in early adulthood, and in Neighbors, their lives couldn’t be further apart. Mac (Rogen) is a (relatively) responsible father and husband, while Teddy (Efron) is a hard-partying frat boy.

Unfortunately for both parties, they’re stuck living next door to one another. While they make efforts to get along early on, tensions soon escalate into all-out intergenerational war, and it turns out that the one thing both sides have in common is a willingness to fight dirty. Watch not one but two Neighbors red-band trailers — one for the international market and one for the domestic one — after the jump.

Neighbors 2

Seth Rogen has made more than his share of movies about man-children reluctant to grow up, but in Neighbors, he plays a guy who’s achieved all the hallmarks of adulthood. He’s gainfully employed and happily married, and even has an adorable baby girl to boot. No, his problem here is that other people haven’t grown up — namely, the rowdy frat boys that have just moved in next door.

Zac Efron plays the leader of the gang, a seemingly reasonable guy who turns vengeful when Rogen and his wife (played by Rose Byrne) call the cops on a party they’re throwing. The tension between the two houses intensifies, and pretty soon there are babies eating condoms and grown men getting launched into the ceiling. Watch the newest trailer after the jump.

Neighbors 3

Zac Efron has spent the years since High School Musical drifting between very different types of movies without ever quite finding his new niche. But the way things are going, 2014 could be the year he becomes the next big thing in R-rated comedy.

Earlier today, we got the green-band trailer for That Awkward Moment after seeing a red-band trailer last week. Now we have the green-band trailer for his other, possibly even raunchier movie Neighbors, following the release of its red-band trailer last month. Nicholas Stoller directs this one, about young parents (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) battling the rowdy frat (led by Efron) next door. Watch the promo after the jump.

Neighbors 2

With films like Knocked Up and Pineapple Express, Seth Rogen‘s early film career was built on playing overgrown man-children. But he’s steadily progressed into more adult roles since then, and now in the Nick Stoller-directed Neighbors, he’s the out-of-touch grown-up facing off against a younger, more immature threat.

In the film, Rogen and Rose Byrne play new parents happily settling into a comfortable new neighborhood. Then a rowdy frat (led by Zac Efron) moves in next door, and the tension between the two houses escalates into out-and-out war. Watch the first red-band trailer and check out some high-res stills after the jump.
