A new international trailer has dropped for Julien Magnat‘s Faces in the Crowd, starring Milla Jovovich as an elementary school teacher with the misfortune to witness a serial killer’s latest attack. Though she survives the incident, she sustains an injury that renders her completely unable to remember faces — even those of her dearest loved ones. With Detective Kerrest (Nip/Tuck‘s Julian McMahon) on her side, Jovovich’s character must find a way to recognize the killer before he finds her. Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead), Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1), and Marianne Faithfull also star. Watch the trailer after the jump.

We already knew a fifth Resident Evil film was on the way, so now comes the totally unsurprising news that Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson are set to return to the franchise once again. Jovovich, who’s starred in all four previous installments, will be reprising her role as protagonist Alice in Resident Evil: Retribution. Anderson, meanwhile, will be returning to the director’s chair. Although Anderson has written and produced all of the films in the series — he’s writing and producing the new one as well — he’s only directed two of the earlier entries: the original Resident Evil, and the 2010′s Resident Evil: Afterlife.
But while Jovovich and Anderson are boarding the film, it looks like another member of the team is on her way out. Read more details after the jump.

Here’s the trailer for Dirty Girl, the film that Harvey Weinstein picked up after it debuted at TIFF last year. The mogul put on his ‘Harvey Scissorhands’ name badge when dealing with this one, having nearly 20 minutes cut out of the original 109-minute running time to bring it into the realm of a broad, more mainstream 90-minute comedy. Director Abe Sylvia reportedly likes the cut, and this first trailer for the edited version certainly suggests something broad and not terribly challenging.
Juno Temple, the rising British star who appeared in Atonement, Notes on a Scandal and Kaboom before landing a role in The Dark Knight Rises, plays a brassy, raunchy and confrontational Oklahoma high school girl in 1987. She and her in the closeted best friend (played by Jeremy Dozier, who looks like the film’s highlight) road trip to California to find the girl’s real father. Read More »

We’ve already seen some images and a teaser for Paul W.S. Anderson‘s 3-D “reboot” of The Three Musketeers. Now, a just-released full-length trailer is offering the best look yet at Anderson’s take on 17th century France — and apparently, his version involves flying war blimps. Because why not, I guess.
Loosely based on the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers follows the iconic trio (Matthew MacFadyen, Luke Evans and Ray Stevenson) and their young new teammate D’Artagnan (Logan Lerman) as they fight to save their continent from a powerfully malevolent trio of baddies: Cardinal Richlieu (Christoph Waltz), the Duke of Buckingham (Orlando Bloom with evil facial hair and evil-er eyeliner) and the infamous assassin Milady de Winter (Milla Jovovich). Watch the trailer after the jump.

Paul W.S. Anderson won the race to get a new Three Musketeers movie into production. The film doesn’t open until October 14, 2011, so a full trailer is probably a ways off. But here’s a new image from the film — the first official one, to complement the on-set snaps we previously saw — which features Matthew Macfadyen, Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson and Luke Evans.
Synopsis and the full image are after the break. Read More »

Last week, the first batch of images surfaced and this second wave features Orlando Bloom in a stunning pompadour as the Duke of Buckingham, Oscar winner Christoph Waltz as Cardinal Richelieu and the director’s wife, Milla Jovovich as M’lady De Winter. The photos were all taken at the Wurzburg Residence in Wurzburg, Germany.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
Briefly: With studio box office estimates putting the weekend haul for Resident Evil: Afterlife at $27.7m domestic and a total of $73m worldwide, it’s no surprise that there’s already a promise of a fifth film in the series. “This new Resident Evil is the first one to ever open at number one worldwide. It’s the biggest movie in the franchise,” Milla Jovovich told Vulture. “So we’re definitely going to make another one.”
Reportedly, Jovovich’s husband, director/producer Paul W.S. Anderson, already has ideas for a fifth film, but that he might solicit fan input as well. Saying that the team is planning to talk to fans via “Twitter and stuff” about what characters they want in the film, Jovovich says that the creation of the next film will be “a more interactive process.” My input, predictably, would be “please don’t make another one,” but there’s no chance that and similar requests will be factored in.
