There are plenty of people who are already sold on The Martian, the latest sci-fi drama from Ridley Scott. It’s one of our 30 Movies to Be Excited for Before the End of 2015, and the most recent trailer really showed how good it looks.
But 20th Century Fox still has a little over a month to go before the film hits theaters, and they’re continuing their impressive viral marketing campaign with yet another cool video focusing on the crew of the Ares 3, another manned mission to the surface of Mars. This time, famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson examines the upcoming mission in the style of the recent Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey series.

In a world of kid-friendly CG animations, Hell and Back stands out as an R-rated, stop-motion endeavor. T.J. Miller and Nick Swardson lead the irreverent voice cast as Augie and Remy, who must journey into the underworld to rescue their buddy Curt (Rob Riggle).
Once there, they encounter all manner of colorful characters including a devious demon voiced by Mila Kunis, a sexy angel voiced by Susan Sarandon, and the Devil himself, voiced by Bob Odenkirk. Danny McBride, Michael Peña, and Jennifer Coolidge also lend their voices to the project. Watch the Hell and Back red-band trailer after the jump. Read More »
Before the first trailer for Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi drama The Martian debuted, 20th Century Fox teased the film with a viral video from the video archives of the Ares 3, the latest mission to Mars. And now a second viral video has debuted with Matt Damon and the rest of his crew being interviewed by a NASA psychologist after experiencing 10 days in isolation.
From the video it’s made pretty clear that Damon has no problem being stuck by himself for 10 days, with the most pressing question he has upon emerging being about Aquaman’s abilities. And honestly, it’s a perfectly valid question. Watch The Martian viral video after the jump! Read More »
Ant-Man wouldn’t be a Marvel movie if it didn’t contain a bunch of fun easter eggs and references to comic book creators, storylines and side characters. On October 9 2014 I visited my first Marvel set. The film was Ant-Man, Marvel Studios’ latest gamble and the final film in Phase Two of the company’s influential and uber-successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. I mention it was my first Marvel set visit because, like me, Ant-Man represents many firsts for Marvel. It’s the first time they’ve hired a director, Peyton Reed, just weeks before shooting. It’s the first time their central hero, Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd), has a family. It’s the first time we’ll see a man shrink down to ride on ant. Those are just the tip of the iceberg.
Below, read 65 things we learned over two days — days 37 and 38 of the 74-day shoot — on the Atlanta set of Ant-Man. There’s also info from a day spent at ILM on June 15, 2015. Read More »
With the release of Ant-Man less than a month away, we’ve already seen quite a bit from the second Marvel Studios film hitting theaters this summer. Paul Rudd looks great in the Ant-Man suit, Corey Stoll‘s Yellowjacket also looks pretty slick, and Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lily will also have plenty to do in the tiny superhero’s first big screen adventure.
But there’s also a whole supporting cast that we haven’t really seen much of in the marketing materials for the film so far. But some new photos from Ant-Man have surfaced giving us a better look at Michael Pena (End of Watch), Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire), David Dastmalchian (The Dark Knight, Prisoners) and rapper turned actor T.I. (Identity Thief). Check out the Ant-Man supporting cast after the jump! Read More »
Hot on the heels of some new images from Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi adaptation The Martian, a viral video has surfaced online in the form of a video diary from astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) on the Hermes. The ship is in the process of heading to Mars, and all the astronauts are preparing for the mission ahead. It’s a pretty cool way to introduce the characters.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
Just last month, the first images from Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi drama The Martian surfaced, showing off Matt Damon stranded on Mars. There are a lot of things that Marvel Studios does really, really well. Innovative poster design, however, is not one of them. The new Ant-Man poster isn’t terrible, exactly, just very very boring. It’s so boring, even the people on it look bored. If you’ve seen all the other Marvel posters, you’ll already know just what to expect. Check it out after the jump. Read More »
