I saw Disney’s Meet The Robinsons last night, but haven’t found time to write a review yet. The movie is probably the best thing Disney has put out in a few years (this doesn’t include Pixar). The film’s message is stolen directly from Walt Disney himself and is probably the best piece of advice you can give a young person (especially in a day and age when every movie has some stupid corny message that really doesn’t translate into use in the real world). Anyway, Disney sent us over the full Meet The Robinsons‘ making of featurette. The whole thing runs nearly 10 minutes but is definitely worth a peek. [...]
Did You Know: Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson almost directed Meet The Robinsons as a live action movie?
And we have yet another Meet The Robinsons featurette, take a trip to the future where frogs can sing, buildings can self-assemble and bubbles are the main form of transportation. I’m not sure the future will look anything like Disney’s new vision, but it should.

Meet the Robinsons hits theaters on Friday March 30th 2007.
Disney has started airing new television advertisements for their new movie Meet The Robinsons, touting its release in Disney Digital 3D. You can watch the new ad below, followed underneath by a behind the scenes featurette on the 3D process. We also have a list of fun 3D facts involving the movie. Like did you know: In New York City, MEET THE ROBINSONS will only be seen in Disney Digital 3D?
I’ve been a supporter of the 3D movie format. I believe that for some movies, it transends gimmick and becomes an incredible movie experience. But am I willing to pay more money for the experience? Probably. And the movie studios know there are others like me out there.
“Theater owners are excited by this technology, because it not only provides a more special movie-going experience but also a meaningful growth opportunity, as research suggests more people come to see 3D movies and ticket pricing has more flexibility,” DreamWorks/Paramount distribution executive Jim Tharp commented in an interview with Omeon.com.
Tharp claimed that moviegoers regard attending a 3D feature as “a premium experience.”

And Disney day continues here on /Film with a new video clip from Meet the Robinsons. In the new clip titled Get That Boy, watch as Lewis outsmarts Tiny the Dinosaur, whose brain is obviously not as big as his bite, and neither are his arms! Check it out after the jump.
The Superbowl is usually the place where we can see advertisements for the big Summer blockbusters. News hit this past week that this year’s ads would be pretty weak. Only two films featured: Wild Hogs and Pride. Eddie Murphy’s Norbit would be featured in the pre-show. But now iFilm has given us an early look at an unannounced teaser television spot for Disney’s Meet The Robinsons. Check it out after the jump.
