Captain America The Winter Soldier

With Captain America: The Winter Soldier hitting digital formats later this month (before its September 9 bow on Blu-ray), Marvel has begun rolling out hints of the special features. Two deleted scenes from the film just made it online along with a tease at a blooper reel.

Like most deleted scenes, you totally understand why these were cut. Each provides a piece of information that’s either pointless or better conveyed in another scene. Still, finding out where Cap’s new suit went, plus to see Cobie Smulders go at Maximiliano Hernández is pretty great.

Shawarma wasn’t the only post-script to the climactic battle in The Avengers. A couple found a discarded alien gun and went on a crime spree too, with S.H.I.E.L.D in hot pursuit. That’s the story you’ll see in Item 47, a Marvel one-shot short film starring Jesse Bradford and Lizzie Caplan as the couple and Maximiliano Hernández and Titus Welliver as the S.H.I.E.L.D agents on call.

The film screened at Comic-Con and will be an extra on The Avengers Blu-ray in September. Until then, though, you can check out the poster for the film as well as two clips. At Comic Con Marvel debuted footage of the studio’s first short film, The Consultant, in which Clark Gregg as SHIELD Agent Coulson and Maximiliano Hernández as Agent Sitwell meet to talk about the fact that bigwigs want Emil Blonsky, aka The Abomination, to be a part of the Avengers.
