love actually sequel

We’ll probably never get a proper sequel to the 2003 romantic comedy gem Love Actually, but we’ll make do with a ten-minute short film starring many of the original cast members that was produced to raise money for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day. The new trailer for this project, titled Red Nose Day Actually, is here and it shows off many members of the original cast…and asks you to decide which of them has aged the best.

Love Actually 2 Photos - Red Nose Day Actually

Last month, the day after Valentine’s Day, we learned that the ensemble romantic comedy Love Actually was getting a sequel. Sort of. Instead of being a feature film reunion, the cast of the film from director Richard Curtis was reuniting for a short film in honor of the charitable initiative by Comic Relief known as Red Nose Day.

The Love Actually sequel is called Red Nose Day Actually, and the short is in production right now and will debut later this month on TV. For those who can’t wait to get a glimpse of the sequel, Red Nose Day program director Emma Freud has been on set, and she’s revealed out first look at the returning cast. There’s Hugh Grant, who is still Prime Minister and still married to the lovely Martine McCutcheon, Liam Neeson and his much older son played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Rowan Atkinson who is still taking his sweet time at the check out counter.

Love Actually Sequel

For the most part, Love Actually is a beloved holiday movie, even though there are those who have started to express their hate for the movie as time has gone on. Personally, as cheesy as it is, I think it’s quite the charming romance featuring a fantastic ensemble cast from across the pond that includes Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy and many more. Now we’ll get to see what all those characters are up to 14 years later in a Love Actually sequel, but it’s not exactly what you think. Find out the details after the jump. Read More »

Galaxy Quest

It’s that glorious time of year when we get together with both the family members we love (and some that we could probably do without) to sit down for a tasty meal and hopefully not a big fight. But with an extended weekend upon us, you’ll likely have plenty of spare time while you’re hanging out with family, and you’re just not in the mood to talk anymore. That’s what it’s time to turn to Netflix to fill some time, and thankfully, there’s a wide variety of movies for you to watch with anyone and everyone in your family.

Below check out our Thanksgiving 2016 Netflix suggestions for some movies available right now that will help you pass some time and keep every single member of your family occupied. Read More »

The holidays aren’t exactly right around the corner, but that won’t stop Christmas commercials from airing any day now. Christmas is over a month and a half away, and some people are already looking forward to all the holiday food, family gatherings, and gifts.

Another perk of the holidays? Movies. Watching films to get in the Christmas mood is always a fun part of the holidays. ABC Family, once again, is doing their 25 days of Christmas, and they’ve made a few odd choices with their lineup this year.

See what movies you can watch on ABC Family next month after the jump.

/Film’s 20 Favorite Holiday Movies of All Time

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

This Christmas, the collective entity of /Film pooled their efforts together to present this gift. Earlier this week, I polled all our writers and editors for their top ten holiday films of all time. I then gave each film on each list a 1 to 10 ranking. 10 points for first place, 1 point for 10th place, and added up the results. What were the results? Pretty predictable, if you ask me, but fun nevertheless.

Still, there were plenty of great movies on the list and weird subplots to explore. For example, only two of us put the same film number one, and it just so happens to be our overall top pick. However, another writer hasn’t even seen that movie. (Until late last night, as it turns out.) Which film is it? And what did it beat out? You’ll have to click below to read /Film’s 20 Favorite Holiday movies of all time. Read More »
