After finding fame as the titular hero in the Percy Jackson fantasy franchise, Logan Lerman has started to carve an impressive acting career over the past few years with praiseworthy performances in films such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Fury. But his latest leading turn in Indignation, an adaptation of Philip Roth‘s novel of the same name, shows the outstanding talent that Lerman has when given the right role. Indignation has the best performance of Logan Lerman’s career, and it helps that the film surrounding this stellar work is brilliant as well. Keep reading for my full Indignation review. Read More »

Harrison Ford is Han Solo, as much as any real person can embody any fictional character, and it’s tough to imagine anyone else stepping into the role after nearly 40 years. But with a “young Han Solo” spinoff in the works from Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the time has come for us to meet and hopefully fall for a different stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder.
The filmmakers have taken their time, reportedly looking at thousands of young actors for the part, and now they’ve finally started to narrow down their choices. Among those on the shortlist are Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, and Logan Lerman. Hit the jump for more on the Han Solo shortlist. Read More »
Minutes ago, we published our list of 15 actors who should play the new Spider-Man. It’s not an easy list to make because few know exactly how old Sony wants the character to be or whether or not he’ll be Peter Parker.
Well, scratch that. We do sort of know. Various news stories have come out saying Sony wants Spider-Man to be in high school, which pretty much crosses off any actor over 25. Now, another report says the first two names to emerge as contenders are names we mentioned on our list: Dylan O’Brien and Logan Lerman, both 23 and white. That pretty much cements the fact it’ll be Peter Parker.
Below, read more about the new Spider-Man actors, as well as news that Andrew Garfield may have been contacted about possible continuing the role. Read More »

As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Spider-Man is coming to the MCU. But the powers that be aren’t simply merging Sony’s existing Spider-Man franchise with the Marvel movies — no, this is going to be a whole new Spider-Man, which means the webslinging role is up for grabs again.
Marvel and Sony have yet to reveal whom they want to put on the Spidey mask, but while they mull it over we’ve got some ideas for them. After the jump, run down our new Spider-Man casting wishlist. Read More »

It’s possible that most people only knew Fury as “that David Ayer tank movie with Brad Pitt.” Which is probably enough, really. But if you want to know more of what’s going on in the film before sitting down in the theater, this new Fury international trailer has you covered.
This trailer shows the difficulty a new gunner (Logan Lerman) has when the time comes to kill enemy soldiers, and follows the squad as it is tasked with preventing the advance of German soldiers. Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal co-star, and you’ll see them in this trailer, too. Read More »
Hot on the heels of the great poster for David Ayer‘s WWII movie comes the first full Fury trailer. Brad Pitt stars as the leader of a tank squad that has survived much of the war. But the squad finds itself facing down incredible odds in the final days of the war, as it is saddled with a green kid who has never seen the inside of a tank.
Much of this trailer focuses on the relationship between Pitt’s grizzled vet and the recruit played by Logan Lerman. And it makes the film look pretty conventional… for a minute or so. Then the trailer breaks open and we see quite a few impressionistic renderings of the battle, as the strain starts to get to the men. Watch below. Read More »

Following yesterday’s juicy little teaser, not one but two full-length trailers for Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah have arrived, and you can check out both of them after the jump.
Russell Crowe stars as the familiar Biblical hero, who’s driven by a vision from God to prepare for an upcoming flood that could wipe out all life on Earth. He builds an ark and begins to round up the animals, but not everyone (including villain Ray Winstone) is on board with his plan.
