'Transformers: The Last Knight Trailer

Last weekend brought a new clip from Transformers: The Last Knight, not to mention an extended TV spot giving us a peek at baby Dinobots and showing us just how tough the franchise’s young new star, Isabela Moner, is going to be. Now we get a much better look at the Bayhem that’s in store for us this summer with a brand new Transformers The Last Knight trailer.

This time there’s some more snippets of the story, but as usual, the focus is on all the new Autobots and Decepticons that your kids will want to pick up from the toy store after they seem them smash into each other on the big screen. Watch the new trailer after the jump. Read More »

Transformers The Last Knight Super Bowl Spot

UPDATED: The extended Super Bowl spot that’s playing during the game tonight is now online. Watch it after the jump. Our original story follows below.

As has become customary with every blockbuster summer, there are plenty of sequels on the way. One of them will be Transformers: The Last Knight, the next chapter in the franchise based on the best-selling Hasbro toy property. This will be the first sequel that was developed as part of an extensive writers room planning the future of the Transformers franchise for the rest of the decade and beyond, and some new footage has just arrived.

The Super Bowl will viewed by millions who are right in the demographic that Paramount Pictures is hoping to get into theaters this summer for Transformers: The Last Knight, so it should come as no surprise that the studio will have a Super Bowl spot for the sequel playing during the game. For those who don’t give a damn about the game and don’t want to wait around for it, the Transformers The Last Knight Super Bowl spot has just been released online. Read More »

Transformers: The Last Knight promises to take the franchise to all sorts of places it’s never been before, like Arthurian Britain and Nazi-era Germany. But one of the film’s most exciting locations looks to be entirely off-world.

A new high-res still from Transformers: The Last Knight shows Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and Vivian Wembley (Laura Haddock) poking around some sort of mysterious ruin. It doesn’t look like anything on Earth, which has us wondering if the pair may have followed Optimus Prime into outer space in his search for the Creators. Check it out and judge for yourself below.

Transformers The Last Knight Trailer Breakdown

The first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight arrived one week ago, along with our coverage from a set visit that happened over the summer up in Michigan (find out what we learned right here). However, last week was chock full of a bunch of stuff, including the teaser trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, first trailer for The Mummy, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the first trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes. So we thought maybe we should swing around to Transformers to try and assess exactly what the hell is going on in that first trailer.

One of the big questions following the trailer’s debut is why Optimus Prime and Bumblebee were fighting (and some theories have been proposed), but there’s much more to dive into in this trailer breakdown, and we’re trying to make sense of it all in our Transformers The Last Knight trailer breakdown after the jump. Transformers The Last Knight Set Visit

We’ve already run through all the new story details and character information from Transformers: The Last Knight in the first part of our report from our visit to the sequel’s set last summer. But that doesn’t convey just what it’s like to be on the set of a movie directed by Michael Bay. The man is known for getting worked up on set and working fast and frenetically, and he demands the best out of his cast and crew, so much that it even sparks them to become more innovative to satisfy his work speed. This is truly something to behold when it’s all happening in front of you. As one of the crew members said, “It’s the Super Bowl every day.”

In the second part of our Transformers The Last Knight set visit report, we discuss what it’s like to watch Michael Bay at work, complete with insight from his crew members that are always kept on their toes while completing 90 setups a day, and some details on the huge action sequences we’re going to see play out in theaters next summer, including some with flares of Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan. Transformers The Last Knight

This past summer, Paramount Pictures gave us the opportunity to visit the set of Transformers: The Last Knight while they were shooting up in Pontiac, Michigan. The experience of being on a Michael Bay movie set is one that I’ll never forget, if only because of the amount of explosions, gunshots and debris myself and other members of the press saw in front of our eyes. We’ll have more about the experience of being on a Michael Bay production soon, but this portion of our set visit is dedicated to the story and characters.

While most moviegoers aren’t necessarily going into a Transformers movie with a lot of concern for the story and character development, that doesn’t mean there aren’t longtime fans of the franchise interested in how the battle of the Autobots and Decepticons continues in Transformers: The Last Knight. That includes the return of some human characters from previous movies, a few new ones and a deep dive into the mythology of Transformers in general. And of course, there are plenty of new Transformers, and one returning Transformer that fans will be happy to see more of.

In this set visit report, we run through everything we learned about the story, including where we find our human characters with regards to their relationship to Transformers. There are plenty of new details here that haven’t been revealed until now, so get the full rundown in our Transformers The Last Knight set visit report below. Read More »

Transformers The Last Knight Photos - Mark Wahlberg

Production on Transformers: The Last Knight has officially wrapped, and we know that because the official Twitter account for the film franchise has just posted a video announcing the completing of shooting. The video contains a bunch of stills from the set, as well as behind the scenes footage of Michael Bay directing, and some of the stars in action on set. If that’s not enough for you, tomorrow will bring the first trailer for the fifth installment of the toy-based action franchise.

Guardians of the Galaxy Easter Eggs

Guardians of the Galaxy might be Marvel’s most elaborate film to date when it comes to easter eggs. I’ve watched the film twice now and have noticed a ton of inside jokes, references to characters from the comic books, 1980’s callbacks and more.I attempted to compile the most complete listing of Guardians of the Galaxy easter eggs, including (possible spoilers teased in the following):

  • Who is Peter Quill’s father? Does Peter Quill’s mother have a relationship with Captain America?
  • The geography of the four revealed Infinity Gems (which stones have been revealed and where are they?)
  • Many Marvel comic book characters you didn’t see appear in Guardians (including a prominent female Krylorian techno-artist)
  • A look at many of the treasures which can be seen inside The Collector’s museum (who or what is in the cocoon?)
  • 8 cameo appearances from filmmakers, actors and even pets revealed (Nathan Fillion and Seth Green, where?)
  • The stars behind the CG characters (who played Rocket on set?)
  • A look at the 1980’s pop culture references in the film (did you know Star-Lord’s ship is named after a 1980’s television star?)
  • How the comic book canon differs from what appeared on screen
  • Funny credits and more

Take a look at /Film’s Guardians of the Galaxy easter egg list after the jump.

The trailers for Storage 24 get better each time. The one released earlier this month was a vast improvement over the generic-looking one we got this summer, and now a red-band version has come along to further up the ante through the power of blood and gore.

The Brit horror flick centers around four attractive young people (Noel Clarke, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Colin O’Donoghue, and Laura Haddock) stuck in a storage facility when a military plane crash wreaks havoc on the city’s systems. What starts as a minor annoyance becomes a life-or-death situation, however, when they realize that a nasty alien creature is trapped inside with them. Watch the NSFW trailer after the jump.
