Not to be outdone by rival Disney, Warner Bros. has renewed their deal with IMAX to release 30 films in the format over the next few years. The news comes two weeks after Disney renewed a similar deal to release films like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Captain America: Civil War in IMAX.
Under Warner Bros. deal, films such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (which shot with IMAX cameras), David Yates’ Tarzan, Guy Ritchie’s Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, Ron Howard’s In The Heart of the Sea, the Harry Potter Spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Andy Serkis’ Jungle Book: Origins, Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla 2, the LEGO Movie sequels and all other upcoming DC movies (Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, etc.) will be digitally remastered for the premium format. Way back in July, Idris Elba was one of the first actors to get cast in Guy Ritchie‘s long-gestating Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur. Sadly, though, it seems he’s now had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
But the good news is they’ve already found someone to replace him. Djimon Hounsou is reportedly in talks for the role, described as a “Merlin-like figure.” Hit the jump for more on the Djimon Hounsou King Arthur casting.

Jude Law and Guy Ritchie have got a little thing going on thanks to a couple of Sherlock Holmes movies, and now they might work together again on Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur. Ritchie is making his own version of the Arthurian story cycle — perhaps to become a whole franchise of films with sequels loosely based on various characters from Arthurian stories — and he’s now got Jude Law in line to play the bad guy in the first one. Guy Ritchie‘s Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur has crowned its queen. Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, best known in the U.S. for playing mermaid Syrena in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, is set to play Guinevere in the fantasy adventure.
