Kingsman The Golden Circle TV Spot

Just a couple weeks ago, the first trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle arrived, giving us a peek into the sequel that finds Eggsy (Taron Egerton) dealing with yet another threat to the world. This time, the Kingsman agents find their headquarters completely destroyed, forcing them to team up with another secret agency in the United States known as the Statesman. Their headquarters just so happen to be located in Kentucky, where Eggys has a hard time getting a good martini in new footage that debuted in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby over the weekend.

kingsman the golden circle trailer

There are quibbles to be had with director Matthew Vaughn‘s Kingsman: The Secret Service, but it has such a fresh, bizarre, and anarchic energy – it’s easy to forgive the hiccups and speed bumps and embrace the bigger picture. When the credits roll, you’re ready to see more ultra-violent spy adventures starring this crew. With the set-up out of the way, a sequel can hit the ground running and sprint directly into the craziness of the first film’s third act.

The first Kingsman: The Golden Circle trailer has arrived and, at first glance, it appears to live up to the first film’s audaciousness.

kingsman the golden circle first look

Kingsman: The Secret Service wasn’t just a surprise box office smash – it was one of the most pleasantly surprising wide releases of 2015. Matthew Vaughn‘s gory spy riff, which pushed the language of James Bond movies into giddy, R-rated heights, was a ton of audacious, gnarly fun. However, this also means that the sequel won’t benefit from the element of surprise. Expectations have been raised!

But it seems to have come prepared, with new cast members in Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, and Jeff Bridges, each of whom has been revealed in the Kingsman: The Golden Circle first look.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:

2014, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE

Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of 2015’s most pleasant surprises, an ultra-violent James Bond riff with an anarchic streak a mile wide and a penchant for shocking reversals. Not even that truly awful second-to-last scene could derail one of the most spirited action movies of the past few years. It’s good! My only real concern about the upcoming sequel is that it won’t find a way to top the sheer, bloody insanity of the first movie.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is due out later this year and outside of an impressive cast and the return of director Matthew Vaughn, details have been kept under wraps. However, we do know that the next movie will find a way to utilize a scene that was cut from the first film.
