Fantastic Four extended preview

Even though the early buzz on Fantastic Four may be good, 20th Century Fox isn’t resting when it comes to pushing the movie on general audiences. A new four-minute sneak preview has just surfaced, which is basically a combination of all the previous trailers with a bit of new footage and longer takes of shots that we’ve seen before.

But there’s a bonus at the end for those who sit through the whole four-minute video (or just fast forward to the last 30 seconds), because Deadpool pops up to let everyone know that they’ll also see a trailer for his movie with Fantastic Four this weekend. But we’ll end up seeing the red band trailer for that tonight, so stay tuned. In the meantime, watch the Fantastic Four extended preview after the jump! Read More »

The Martian viral video

Before the first trailer for Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi drama The Martian debuted, 20th Century Fox teased the film with a viral video from the video archives of the Ares 3, the latest mission to Mars. And now a second viral video has debuted with Matt Damon and the rest of his crew being interviewed by a NASA psychologist after experiencing 10 days in isolation.

From the video it’s made pretty clear that Damon has no problem being stuck by himself for 10 days, with the most pressing question he has upon emerging being about Aquaman’s abilities. And honestly, it’s a perfectly valid question. Watch The Martian viral video after the jump! Read More »

Chris Hardwick Fantastic Four

This weekend brings the release of 20th Century Fox’s latest attempt to bring Fantastic Four to the big screen, and the early buzz on the comic book reboot from director Josh Trank is pretty positive so far. We’ll see if that holds up when more people see the movie this weekend.

In the meantime, it appears the studio is already  looking forward to the future by changing up the superpowered quartet by adding a fifth person. Nerdist founder, comedian and Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick recently auditioned for a role in Fantastic Five, and franchise stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell were there to oversee his tryout. How did it go? Watch the Chris Hardwick Fantastic Four audition after the jump to find out. Read More »

Fantastic Four TV spot

Superheroes always end up getting misunderstood, feared and taken to task by the government for the potential threat they pose to humanity. Superman has to go to court in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Avengers seem to be sidelined a bit in Captain America: Civil War, and now we know the Fantastic Four get locked away for a little bit.

A new TV spot for Josh Trank‘s comic book reboot has just surfaced online with some new footage from the film bringing Marvel’s first family back to the big screen. There’s a new shot of Dr. Doom, and a couple quick shots of the Fantastic Four displaying their new powers. Watch the new Fantastic Four TV spot after the jump! Read More »

Captive

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the thriller Captive. Based on true events, the film has Kate Mara as Ashley Smith, a struggling mother and recovering drug addict whose bad day takes a turn for the much, much worse when she’s taken hostage by accused rapist Brian Nichols (played by David Oyelowo).

But the real star here is Rick Warren‘s Christian self-help book The Purpose Driven Life. Ashley initially rejects the book, but comes to find great value in it. Especially once it becomes a way for her to convince Brian to let her go. Watch the Captive trailer after the jump. Read More »

Fantastic Four tv spot

It seems like just yesterday the narrative around Fantastic Four was how bad the marketing was. Mainly, that’s because it was non-existent for so long. Since the release of the first trailer though, that’s been rapidly and happily changing. As effects shots get completed and more and more is revealed, you can feel everyone getting cautiously optimistic about what Josh Trank has done here. It’s going to take some people actually seeing the movie to finally make everyone super excited but, until then, the tables are turning.

Case in point, a brand new TV spot that debuted during the NBA Finals. It’s a lot of the same footage we’ve already seen, but there’s new stuff and – most importantly – there’s humor in here. Below, check out the new Fantastic Four TV spot. Read More »
