It didn’t take long at all for Robert Redford‘s The Conspirator to get off the ground. The film, which hinges on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, was announced only months ago and is already shooting in Savannah, GA. In Judd Apatow‘s Funny People, Adam Sandler‘s character George Simmons is a successful stand-up comic turned comedy star who has appeared in many shitty but successful movies. Apatow was forced to create some of the character’s earlier big screen hits. Some of the films appear as posters or whatnot in the background, while others actually feature prominently on screen.
Click on the poster images above to enlarge. After the jump we have a few clips from some of these films, complete with hilariously bad plot outlines.

Apatow was forced to create some of the character’s earlier big screen hits. Some of the films appear as posters or whatnot in the background, while others actually feature prominently on screen. One of the movies is titled Re-Do, which has been described as a cross between Little Man and 17 Again, except Sandler becomes a six month old baby. Did I mention that Justin Long co-stars?

The new video on FunnyOrDie is co-directed by Hairspray director Adam Shankman and stars the biggest cast to ever grace one of the comedy site’s viral videos: Zac Efron, Thomas Lennon, Nicole Sullivan, Vanessa Hudgens, Justin Long, Nicole Ritchie, Joel Madden, Queen Latifah, Brody Jenner, Carmen Electra, Lance Bass, Brittany Snow, Jessica Stroup, Chelsea Staub, Jessica Rose, Ruta Gedmintas, Abby Pivaronas, Ryan Rottman, DJ Timbo, Mark Kvammsuck. The question is, why does the video suck so much?
I’m a huge fan and supporter of FunnyOrDie, and I understand their biggest videos have featured the participation of big name Hollywood stars. I’m sure this video will get record hits. Heck, it has Zac Efron, and in 2009, that’s almost as good as having that guy with the weird hair from Twilight. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know the reason I’ve liked FunnyOrDie’s videos is because they were actually funny, well written, and well produced. Eric Appel took things to a new level with Gobstopper. But this video just seems like they invited a bunch of semi-famous people to a pool party and tried to film a video around the participants. Lets hope this doesn’t become the norm.

Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper and Justin Long count down 10 Chick Flick Cliches you won’t find in Warner Bros’ new romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You.

New Line has released a new movie trailer, poster, and a bunch of new production photos for Ken Kwapis’ big screen adaptation of He’s Just Not That Into You.
The film has a wonderful cast: Jennifer Connelly, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Ben Affleck, Kevin Connolly (Entourage) (notice how I excluded Jennifer Aniston even though she’s clearly one of the leads? That was on purpose. I don’t like her very much. She is the opposite of wonderful). The film is about modern day relationships and how men and women often misconstrue the intentions of the opposite sex. The authors of the book that the film is based on were consultant and story editors on Sex and the City, which might give you a good idea what to expect.
Three more photos after the jump.
