When the positive reviews of Justin Bieber Never Say Never began to pour in last week, it probably caught most of us by surprise. And when the movie almost took the box office crown from an Adam Sandler romantic comedy, on Valentine’s weekend no less, the 3D documentary pretty much cemented itself as a must-see for anyone who fancies themselves a pop culture guru.
Paramount must also feel the film is creating a unique buzz among moviegoers because they’re going to try something sort of radical to squeeze a few more dollars out of it. They’re pushing director Jon Chu to cut a new version of Never Say Never to release while the movie is still in theaters. However, there’s no guarantee it’s going to happen. I just can’t get on board the with Justin Bieber hate. He’s a kid, he got lucky, he probably works hard, eventually he’ll go away. But I seemed to run across clips of his upcoming 3D film Never Say Never everywhere this week, as it comes out in early February. That strained my patience a bit.
So as an antidote to those clips and the film’s trailer, check out the Upright Citizen Brigade‘s video, Justin Bieber Gritty Movie Trailer. It shows how rough life on the streets of Canada really is for a pretty boy pop singer. Read More »
Who wants to be INSPIRED on this beautiful October day? Well, you can’t do much better than the trailer for Justin Bieber Never Say Never. This 3D Paramount documentary tells the “inspiring true story” of 16-year-old teen singing sensation Justin Bieber who went from YouTube nobody to one of the most famous people on the planet in mere months. From the trailer, it looks like it’s going to be a bunch of young girls screaming, videos of baby Bieber drumming and then some songs intercut with Karate Kid Segway rides. Sounds dangerously close to a Barbara Kopple documentary.
We’re posting this trailer for a few reasons. One, it’s hilarious. Two, when this movie comes out February 11 it’s going to be incredibly massive and, as a film fan, you need to be aware of it. There will be long lines at the theaters and you deserve to know why that screening of Drive Angry 3D has loud shrieking bleeding through the walls. “B Part Of It” after the jump. Read More »

The dapper comedian and co-star of Parks & Rec would play a junior high school teacher thrown into a ticking clock scenario when his pal—an aimless pizza delivery man—is ordered to rob a bank by two goons who strap a bomb to his chest.
