If nothing else, Paramount is doing a great job selling G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which sees the return of Channing Tatum, Ray Park, Lee Byung-hun, Arnold Vosloo and Jonathan Pryce to the fold, and adds Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson, RZA, D.J. Cotrona and small-timers The Rock and Bruce Willis.

The spots we’ve seen so far look great, and now here’s a new international trailer, which adds a few new Cobra-related shots and quick looks at Zartan in disguise and Ray Stevenson as Firefly. Eighteen years after his death, River Phoenix is about to appear onscreen one last time. George Sluizer, who was directing Phoenix in his final role in Dark Blood at the time of Phoenix’s death, has announced that he will finally complete the picture for release in 2012. This is quite possibly the most absurd thing I’ve seen today, but also fairly cute and just a bit charming. The trailer for Hysteria shows the work of Jonathan Pryce, Hugh Dancy, Rupert Everett and Maggie Gyllenhaal in a period sex comedy about the invention of the vibrator. Or, to borrow a line from the trailer, “we are NOT going to take a dangerous electrical device and press it against a lady’s most gentle areas.” Actually, yes. You are. Many, many times.
