UPDATE: We’ve added the new, red band Sin City: A Dame to Kill For trailer to this post, which played at the end of the panel. Full panel coverage remains.
Robert Rodriguez and Comic Con go together like Spielberg and sharks. The two are forever linked because of the memorable panels he’s had on multiple films, primarily the first Sin City. Well Rodriguez was back this year with Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Damn to Kill For and he brought along his co-director and three of the film’s stars: Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba.
They showed a huge chunk of the beginning of the film, “Just Another Saturday Night,” and did a very interesting Q&A. Below, read a description of the opening scene and five cool things we learned at the Sin City 2 Comic Con panel. Read More »

Sin City is a place of excess, and the new Sin City: A Dame to Kill For trailer should fit right in. There is the parade of stars and notable guest-stars, from Josh Brolin, Eva Green and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, and Powers Boothe. Then there’s the violence, and the sex, and the splashes of color splattered across the stark black and white imagery. Looks like there’s a lot going on in this new trip to Sin City; watch the trailer below. Read More »

Nearly a decade has passed since the last time we dropped in on Sin City, but it doesn’t look like a whole lot has changed since then. Life looks as grim and brutal as ever in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which follows four noirish storylines as they unfold across the city.
Today, we have five new Sin City: A Dame to Kill For character posters to (re)introduce you the town’s gun-toting, knife-wielding residents, including Nancy (Jessica Alba), Marv (Mickey Rourke), Gail (Rosario Dawson), Dwight (Josh Brolin) and Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Check ‘em out after the jump.

We haven’t heard much about Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller‘s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For as of late, but today there’s some new material to feast our eyes on.
They include our very first look at original character Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who just looks like he’s having the worst day of his life; plus new images of Marv (Mickey Rourke), as rough and tough as ever, and Nancy (Jessica Alba), no longer the innocent damsel in distress. Check ‘em all out after the jump.
Update: We’ve added higher quality pics after the jump.

While the mainstream is fetishizing the ’90s, a crew is still looking back at the forgotten corners of ’80s pop culture. IFC mini-series The Spoils of Babylon is from exec producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Matt Piedmont, Andrew Steele and Nate Young. (Steele and Piedmont wrote.) It is designed as a spoof of ’80s event television, and skewers stuff like The Thorn Birds; beach lit stories that, in their small-screen incarnations, are forgotten by most people who weren’t around to watch them the first time.
The series is about the Morehouse oil tycoon family, with Tobey Maguire, Tim Robbins and Kristen Wiig among the leads. (Jessica Alba, Jelly Howie, Val Kilmer, Michael Sheen, and Steve Tom also show up.) Below, watch a trailer in which Maguire narrates a brief history of the family, culminating with the ominous memory of the Morehouse son Winston. Read More »
Executive producers James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub, and Arnold Schwarzenegger have recruited an all-star cast for an important documentary event. Years of Living Dangerously will air on Showtime in April 2014; it features major celebrities talking to real people who have been negatively effected by global warming. Jessica Alba, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, America Ferrara, Harrison Ford, Michael C. Hall, Olivia Munn and Ian Somerhalder are just a few of the celebrities who travel the world learning about this issue and, below, you can see the the first trailer. Read More »
Adam Scott, Richard Jenkins, Catherine O’Hara, Amy Poehler, Clark Duke, Jessica Alba, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jane Lynch. Not a bad cast, right? Now, what if I was to tell you they were all in one of the funniest and smartest films of the year?
That film is called A.C.O.D., an acronym standing for “adult children of divorce.” Co-written and directed by Stuart Zicherman, it’s scheduled for release in October 4. The first trailer has just come online so now you can finally get a glimpse of one of my favorite films of the year. Read More »

The marketing team at Apple would have you believe that there’s an app for everything, but when you’re a killer agent, sometimes you need your tools to be a little more hands-on. Count on Robert Rodriguez to fix that problem by hiding a blade inside the device.
That’s just one of the many ridiculous sights on display in Machete Kills, which once again stars Danny Trejo as ex-Federale Machete. When a billionaire arms dealer (Mel Gibson) plans to ignite a war by launching a missile into space, the President of the United States (Charlie Sheen, billed as “Carlos Estevez”) calls upon Machete to stop him.
