Star Wars Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple Show

Star Wars Season of the Force opened at Disneyland and Disney World’s Hollywood Studios over the past few weeks, but one key addition has had a late start: an updated version of the popular Jedi Training Academy. While the show is primarily for children, Adult Star Wars fans have always gotten a kick out of seeing their children go facer to face with some of the biggest Star Wars villains in a test of the Force and lightsaber battles. The revamped show is now called Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple and features characters from the popular Disney XD animated series Star Wars Rebels.

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple has opened this week in Hollywood Studios (but won’t begin in Walt’s original west coast theme park until January 2016) and you can watch the first video of the show now embedded after the jump.

Force Awakens Star Tours

At D23 Expo 2015, Disney announced that a seasonal Star Wars promotional event called Season of the Force would be coming to Disneyland in California and Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida. In California, the event would bring a new Star Wars skin of Space Mountain called Hyperspace Mountain, an updated version of the Jedi Training Academy show featuring the characters from Star Wars Rebels, an interactive meet-and-greet and experience area called Star Wars Launch Bay, and a new Force Awakens Star Tours experience.

At D23 Expo 2015, Bob Iger announced that Disney would be building Star Wars-themed lands in Disneyland and Disney World. And before that happens in a few years (date to be announced), Disney also announced they would expand the Star Wars presence in both Disney World and Disneyland this year. Well we now have some new information about Star Wars land construction and the “Season of the Force” which is set to begin in just a couple months.
