If you’re the kind of person who got all emotional during all those Harry Potter cast interviews about shooting the final scene, or if you referred to the last movie, without irony, as “the end of an era,” then When Harry Left Hogwarts is for you. The documentary, by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Morgan Matthews (The Fallen), chronicles the making of David Yates‘ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Part 2, and will make you get teary-eyed all over again as cast members talk about what it’s been like to be part of the franchise for the past ten years. Watch the trailer after the jump.

In John Singleton‘s Abduction, Taylor Lautner gets to play out a great teen fantasy: rather than being just another good-looking high-school kid with a caring family, he’s a good-looking kid who is secretly a total badass. He’s so secretly a badass that he doesn’t even know it. That is, not until his adoptive spy parents are taken out, after which he has to go on the run to find out the truth of his own secretly amazing existence.
The first trailer was all about setting up the story and positioning Taylor Lautner as a guy who can act with his shirt on. This new follow-up trailer is much more interested in proving that there is so much action in the movie that it won’t really matter if Lautner can act or not. Check it out below. Read More »

Hit the jump to see the forces of good, an army of evil, and a huge-ass dragon.

Some people are hoping that the JJ Abrams-produced series Alcatraz (watch the trailer here) might be the new Lost. Others believe that NBC’s new series Awake has the potential to fill the character-based sci-fi series void.
In NBC’s Awake, Jason Isaacs stars as a cop who finds his life split between two separate realities after a fatal car accident. At first, the idea seems a bit more drama based than you might expect, but as the 4-minute trailer rolls on, you get a sense that the two realities will later connect in some pretty cool ways. Awake will likely premiere midseason. Watch the trailer embedded after the jump. Please leave your thoughts in the comments below.
