Star Wars #26 comic yoda's past

When it was first revealed that Disney would be making standalone anthology movies in the Star Wars universe, one of the many rumored projects in development included a Yoda film which would have been focused on the master Jedi in his early years. We even heard rumors of filmmaker Zack Snyder pitching Lucasfilm on a Seven Samurai-style movie which would have featured a younger Yoda.

Now Lucasfilm has revealed that a new Star Wars comic book series will explore Yoda’s past adventures. Learn more after the jump.

Star Wars: Vader Down

There was so much news coming out of San Diego Comic Con International 2015 that we missed some of the smaller announcements that happened outside of Hall H. late last week we told you that Marvel Comics would be releasing a new Star Wars comic book series based on the character Chewbacca written by Gerry Duggan and artist Phil Noto. The other Star Wars comic book news coming out of the convention is a comic book crossover event between the ongoing Star Wars and Darth Vader ongoing series. Star Wars 1 comic

Star Wars #1 might be one of the most anticipated comic book issues in years, as it should be. The series is important for a lot of obvious reasons, as Marvel takes back the publishing rights to the series that Dark Horse has had for many years. But will fans enjoy the first 48 pages of this new Star Wars adventure?
