Kingsman The Golden Circle TV Spot

Kingsman: The Secret Service is a movie with energy to spare. Matthew Vaughn‘s spy movie moves fast with an infectious giddiness about itself. The director’s enthusiasm for this world of spies and super villains is unmistakable. Next month, that world is going to get bigger with the sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which looks every bit as playful as the first movie.

Below, watch the new Kingsman: The Golden Circle TV spot.

Game of Thrones final season

When it comes to Game of Thrones prequels, “everything is on the table” at the moment. When asked if one could be a limited series, that was HBO programming president Casey Bloys‘ response – if a great idea would work as a limited series, they’ll make a limited series. Of course, HBO is hoping to make a prequel that’ll last more than a season. Right now, their primary focus is season 7 and 8 of Game of Thrones, but Bloys cleared the air a little on the prequels. He also shed some light on the eighth and final season of the hit series, which is supposedly so large in scope it might take well over a year to produce and may not air until 2019.

Below, learn more about the Game of Thrones prequel plans.

2014, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE

Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service was a pleasant surprise in 2014. The movie managed to walk the fine line between sending up spy tropes seen in the James Bond saga while not dipping so far into Austin Powers territory that it felt like a weightless spoof. Kingsman was a thrilling, fun entry into the genre it lampooned, and Kingsman: The Golden Circle looks like an amped-up continuation of that tradition.

But the upcoming sequel might not be the end of the road for Taron Egerton’s Eggsy and company. Read Vaughn’s comments about a potential Kingsman 3 below.

Amazing Stories Remake

It’s been about a year and a half since we heard that Pushing Daisies and Hannibal executive producer Bryan Fuller was working on a revival of the anthology series Amazing Stories.

For those who don’t know, Amazing Stories was an hour-long weekly sci-fi and fantasy anthology series created and executive produced by Steven Spielberg that told stories of the fantastic, strange and supernatural. It aired on NBC from 1985 to 1987 with directors such as Martin Scorsese (GoodFellas), Joe Dante (Gremlins), Clint Eastwood (American Sniper), Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future), Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back), Ken Kwapis (The Office), Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and even Burt Reynolds being at the helm of episodes.

We’ve been hoping some similar modern talent would be brought in for the Amazing Stories remake, and now we have the names of a few talents who will be involved. Find out more about the Amazing Stories remake roster of talent after the jump. Read More »

The Kingsman Sequel

Ever since the success of Kingsman: The Secret Service, a followup has been inevitable, but whether we’d see Colin Firth in The Kingsman sequel has been up in the air. Comic book creator/writer Mark Millar hopes director Matthew Vaughn and screenwriter Jane Goldman find a good way to bring Colin Firth back for The Kingsman sequel. Millar, understandably, very much wants to see Firth return to the role of Harry Hart.

Michael-Caine-Dark-Knight-Rises

There have been rumors about Michael Caine joining the cast of Matthew Vaughn‘s film The Secret Service, and now that casting is confirmed by the creator of the source comic.

He confirmed that Caine is in the picture along with Colin Firth, but declined to name the younger actor who’ll play the street kid groomed as a British secret agent.
