Director Michael Bay has posted the first official cast photo from Transformers 4: The Age Of Extinction featuring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor. Wahlberg stars in the film as a mechanic named Cade who makes a discovery that attracts the attention of Autobots, Decepticons and a paranoid government official. Peltz plays Wahlberg’s teenage daughter Tessa, and we can only assume that Reynor plays Tessa’s boyfriend or love interest. Check out the full photo, after the jump.

There’s been no shortage of videos and paparazzi shots from the Transformers 4 set, but now we finally have our first official look at the human stars, sourced right from Michael Bay.

The director has posted a photo of himself, actors Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor, and various crew members standing atop some fancy-looking construction, probably alien in origin. There are no Dinobots in sight, sadly, though an unconfirmed report indicates that the fan-favorite characters could be shooting a scene today. Check out the photo and get the latest on the (potential) Dinobots after the jump.

Delivery Man

Many a movie has centered on a man learning he has a kid he knew nothing about. Far fewer have followed what happens when a guy discovers he has 533 kids he’s never met.

Directed by Ken Scott based on his own French-Canadian comedy, Delivery Man stars Vince Vaughn as aimless 40something David Wozniak, who gets the unexpected news that he’s fathered 533 kids thanks to a mix-up at the clinic years ago. Once the initial shock wears off, he becomes curious about his offspring and starts to serve as a sort of guardian angel for several of them. Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders also star. Watch the new trailer after the jump.

What Richard Did

If you’ve heard of What Richard Did, there’s a good chance it was in the context of a conversation about Transformers 4. A few months ago, Irish actor Jack Reynor was plucked from relative obscurity to become Michael Bay‘s new Shia LaBeouf, and What Richard Did was one of the few films on his resume. If Transformers 4 does well, this young star has the potential to become one of Hollywood’s hottest young stars overnight. But as he moves on to higher-profile roles, his sensitive turn in What Richard Did makes me hope he won’t leave indies behind completely.

In Bay’s annoucnement, he’s also very specific in saying Transformers 4 is not a reboot. In fact, it takes place four years after the last film and has a specific reason for the new cast. He also says that “we are embarking on a new trilogy.” Read his full statement after the jump. Read More »
