We’re at the point of the year where this year’s Sundance films aren’t yet close to premiering in any wide release. (With the strange exception of Mitt, now on Netflix.) But some of last year’s crop of Park City debuts are still trickling out. In Fear premiered last year in the Midnight program where it did well. The movie is compact, with only three actors: Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures), Iain De Caestecker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Allen Leech (Downtown Abbey) in the story of two people on a dark road facing their fears, and perhaps more. Joss Whedon‘s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — Marvel’s first big foray into television since the success of the studio’s big-screen efforts — premieres on Tuesday, September 24th at 8:00pm EST on ABC with Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, and Elizabeth Henstridge.
If you don’t want to wait almost two months to get a new look at the first episode, we’ve got a bunch of official images below. There are two Whedon TV alumni revealed in the pics below, so if you want to be surprised by who shows up, be careful. That said, beyond the presence of a couple actors, there’s nothing in the shots below that appears to be spoilerish. As Iron Man and Thor bring Marvel’s Phase Two into theaters, some of the MCU’s less famous inhabitants will be making waves on the small screen this fall. ABC officially took Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to series last week, and has now announced plans to air it this fall on Tuesday nights.

I don’t think there was much doubt that the TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be ordered to series at ABC, but here’s your confirmation. The show exec produced by Joss Whedon (who also directed the pilot) will air on the Disney-owned network, and extend part of the story of The Avengers into a more everyday thriller territory on television.
That’s the first official cast photo above, and the first look at footage from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air this weekend, Sunday, May 12, at 8 p.m. before of the season finale of Once Upon a Time. Read More »
While nothing has been said officially, TV By The Numbers and IGN are reporting that ABC has picked up the Marvel television series spin-off Agents of SHIELD for a debut this Fall.
While ABC has not made an official announcement, they briefly (likely accidentally) published a video on their youtube page, a viral teaser for the upcoming show. The video shows some captured video of The Incredible Hulk causing destruction, captured from a distance. A small logo/badge that reads “Rising Tide” appears on the lower right hand part of the screen. While ABC has removed the video, it seems to still online elsewhere (for now). Watch the video now embedded after the jump.

What sort of show will Joss Whedon‘s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series be? If you’ve assumed that it will be a lot like Whedon’s other shows, you’re probably correct.
So here’s what we’ve got on the show, which will help expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it also expands the reach of those characters to current live-action television. Ming-Na was cast as a top pilot and weapons expert Agent Melinda May, while Clark Gregg‘s late Agent Phil Coulson will appear in some fashion.
Now the show has added Elizabeth Henstridge (The Thompsons, and the CW pilot Shelter) and Iain De Caestecker, of UK series The Fades and Young James Herriot, and the upcoming Irvine Welsh film Filth.
