The first questions about Scream 4, which has taken many years to come together, revolved around which members of the cast would return. Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson, who kicked off a new wave of horror interest with the first Scream, have got Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox all signed to return. But this is theoretically the first chapter of a new trilogy (shudder), which means we need a lot of new characters.
Enter the potential new redshirts stars: Lake Bell, Ashley Greene, Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin. Read More »

Remember when Chris Columbus made good family films? We’re talking about the writer of Gremlins and The Goonies, the director of Adventures in Babysitting, Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire and the first two Harry Potter films. But over the last few years he’s been part of a lot of klunkers, including Christmas with The Kranks, and Rent. Lets not forget that he produced Jingle All the Way and the Fantastic Four films.
Columbus’ next film is a return to the teen film genre with an adaptation of Larry Doyle’s novel I Love You, Beth Cooper starring Hayden Panettiere. The movie tells the story of a nerdy valedictorian who proclaims his love for the hottest and most popular girl in school – Beth Cooper – during his graduation speech. Much to his surprise, Beth shows up at his door that very night and decides to show him the best night of his life. Fox released the film’s trailer over the weekend to coincide with some viral Valentine’s day release. You can watch it embedded after the jump.

Hayden Panettiere For John McCain
The Pitch: Heroes star Hayden Panettiere shows her support for John McCain.
“Hi, I’m Hayden Panettiere, and I’m hot enough that I know I have your attention for at least 30 seconds. There are three things I think all citizens should do: Smoke cigarettes, vote for John McCain, and don’t wear a seat belt. A vote for McCain is a vote against change. He’ll keep tax breaks for the rich, start another war, and we’ll all probably die. He’s just like George Bush, except older and with a worse temper. Let’s vote for McCain and stay the course. Don’t switch horses midstream. Get an older horse that will take 12 years to cross that stream, ‘cause he’s old. John McCain, he’s had affairs with lobbyists, so you’ll get f**ked, and he’ll get f**ked. Everybody wins. Nobody f**ks with McCain.”

The stars of Heroes have a new favorite frozen drink, and it may look somewhat familiar. The following photos showed up on the blog of Heroes director/producer Greg Beeman of the cast of the hit show drinking “Slusho!” a drink which first appeared in the JJ Abrams’ series Alias, and has now become a focal point of the viral marking behind the hot JJ Abrams produced monster flick Cloverfield. So what will Heroes have to do with the upcoming movie? Will their be a connection? Greg Grunberg, a childhood friend of Abrams who has appeared in nearly every thing he’s produced thus far, appears on Heroes as Matt Parkman. Could he just be helping his best bud promote the upcoming film? Beeman won’t say:
“Now, the next group of photos falls into the “don’t ask/don’t tell” category. I credit Greg Yaitanes for staging all these pix, under the supervision of Joe Pokaski. Their cultural significance will become clear in the coming months, so… pay attention!”
There is obviously more to this story. Dennis at CloverfieldClues discovered that Slusho actually made its first appearance on Heroes during last night’s episode, check out that photo below:
We’ll keep you updated. Check out more Heroes behind the scenes Slusho photos after the jump.
