Here’s the teaser trailer for Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, the entry in the Great Snow White Race of 2011 that appears to be focused more on action and dark fantasy than anything else. Evan Daugherty wrote the script, and studio interest in his take helped kick off the Snow White fever that we’re seeing culminate with this film and Tarsem’s Mirror, Mirror.

Snow White and the Huntsman stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Charlize Theron as the evil queen who wants Snow White dead, Sam Claflin as the Prince, and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman who is tasked with killing Snow White, but preserves her life and trains her in survival and combat instead. We don’t usually highlight the release of a new advertising banner for any given film, as those banners are typically just a way to present existing art assets in a slightly new form.

But the last time we saw any imagery from Rupert SandersSnow White and the Huntsman was at Comic Con, when Universal released a quartet of character images. Now a new banner for the film highlights three of those characters, Snow White (Kristen Stewart), the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron) and the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth).

More interesting is the fact that the background of the image suggests what the movie around the actors is going to look like. We’ll see a full trailer for the film on Thursday, but for now check out the art in full below. Read More »
