Halo Nightfall trailer

Here’s the first Halo: Nightfall trailer. The digital series is produced by Ridley Scott, and his Scott Free Productions and Microsoft’s 343 Industries. It stars Mike Colter (The Good Wife) in a story that acts as a bridge between Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. (Colter’s character Jameson Locke will play a big role in the forthcoming game.)

Even if you weren’t told that Ridley Scott had some influence as a producer here, you might be able to guess. There are a lot of very Prometheus-inspired visuals in this trailer, and some of that film’s Iceland locations seem to have been used here, too. Halo Nightfall

Today at Microsoft’s annual E3 press conference there was no word about the Steven Spielberg-produced Halo series that is expected to premiere in 2015. But there was some brief info on the other series based on the Halo games, which counts Ridley Scott as a producer.
