The Rover is set at a point just after society has crumbled, and those who remain are all keeping a tight hold on whatever shreds of their former lives still remain. One man abandons his brother (Robert Pattinson) while stealing a car from a dangerous man played by Guy Pearce. Kristen Wiig may have gotten her start on Saturday Night Live, but her range as an actress expands far beyond comedy. The new Hateship Loveship trailer takes her to the dramatic end of the spectrum, playing the mousy caretaker to troubled teen Sabitha (Hailee Steinfeld).
The plot gets rolling when Sabitha plays a cruel practical joke on Wiig’s Johanna, encouraging her to fall for Sabitha’s recovering drug addict dad Ken (Guy Pearce). The picture was helmed by Liza Johnson, director of the acclaimed if underseen Return, and based on Alice Munro’s short story Hateship Loveship Courtship Loveship Marriage. Watch the Hateship Loveship trailer after the jump.

These days post-apocalyptic films are nearly a dime a dozen. But none of those have the pedigree of The Rover, written and directed by David Michôd, the man behind 2010 crime drama Animal Kingdom. His feature follow-up hits theaters this Summer, and stars Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson. Set ten years after the world has all but ended, Pearce plays a man forced to hunt down one of his prized possessions after it’s forcefully taken from him.
Sounds ominous, yes? Well the first teaser trailer just hit and there aren’t many more answers here. Just some impressive visuals and Pearce and Pattinson as you’ve never seen them before. Check it out below. Read More »

Guy Pearce was last seen in Iron Man 3, and Felicity Jones will soon appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But in Drake Doremus‘ Breathe In, they’ll both ditch the superpowered world for a quieter, messier, more grounded one.
In his follow-up to 2011’s festival hit Like Crazy, which also starred Jones, Doremus once again delves into the complicated desires that connect and separate people. Pearce plays music teacher Keith, whose family plays host to British exchange student Sophie (Jones). A talented piano player — not to mention a soulful, striking young woman — she draws Keith’s attention, and a forbidden bond begins to form. Amy Ryan and Mackenzie Davis also star, as Keith’s wife and daughter, respectively. Watch the first trailer after the jump.

Currently, there are two camps when it comes to Iron Man 3. There’s the “Okay, Disney, we get it, stop with the footage and images” camp . These people are already sold on the film, have bought their tickets (figuratively, at least) and just want to see the full movie already. Then there’s the “Gimmie, gimmie, gimme” camp. They also have their tickets but still wants to see every little hint at what Shane Black has in store come May 3. This is for the second group.
A new featurette is online that’s about the new and expanded characters featured in the film. There are the new characters played by Ben Kingsley, Rebecca Hall, Guy Pearce and the expanded ones, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Jon Favreau. Each gets a few seconds in the sun here, much of which happens with new footage. Read More »
