Marvel Studios changed the game when they signed Samuel L. Jackson to an unprecedented nine movie deal back in 2009. Since then, keeping track of how many Marvel movies different actors have left on their contracts has become a minor hobby for some fans.
Last week, I sat down with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Chris Pratt, and while our full conversation is still forthcoming, I wanted to share a couple of his comments about whether or not he’ll appear in Captain Marvel, whether he’ll renew his contract with the studio, and Star-Lord’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Read the Chris Pratt Marvel contract details below.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but director James Gunn is already looking ahead to the next volume in his space romp saga.
Gunn recently confirmed that he’ll be returning to direct the third installment of his wildly popular superhero movie, and thus help shepherd in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the the next decade of the MCU may shake up the galaxy as we know it, with Gunn hinting that the current “iteration” of the Guardians team won’t make it through the next film.

We’re still in the early stages of Marvel’s Phase Three — next week’s Doctor Strange is just the second film out of ten — but since Marvel is famous for mapping out its plans well ahead of time, it’s impossible not to wonder what’s coming in Phase Four. So let’s give into that temptation, and spend a bit of time speculating.
Marvel already has three dates nailed down for 2020: May 1, July 10, and November 6. What remains unclear is which titles they’re for. Which films can we expect in 2020 and beyond from Marvel’s Phase Four? Read More »
The hype surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is already very high. Fans are so excited about the sequel that director James Gunn even had to ask people to stop asking him when the trailer was going to arrive. According to his recent barrage of answers to frequently asked questions, it will arrive sometime before Christmas, so just be patient.
Now Chris Pratt is adding to the hype machine in a recent interview where he claims that the movie will be the “biggest spectacle of all time.” And when you have a sequel building that much excitement, it should come as no surprise when a rock star like Steven Tyler says that he wants a role for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, whenever that happens. Marvel had Phase Three mapped out back when they were still deep into Phase Two. So it should come as no surprise that even as they’re preparing to launch Phase Three with next month’s Captain America: Civil War, they’re already making plans for Phase Four. The studio already has three 2020 dates locked in, and while they haven’t said exactly which titles will get them, Kevin Feige’s latest comments suggest Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a pretty good guess. James Gunn hasn’t been shy about his love for Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. He’s gushed, often, about how much he enjoyed making the first one, and signed on for the sequel before the first film even hit theaters. But even Gunn can’t do this forever. The director recently admitted that he’s “not sure” if he’ll return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, even as he acknowledged he’s “talked” with Marvel about the possibility. Read More »
Cool Posts From Around the Web:

Among the announcements were an Ant-Man sequel titled Ant-Man and the Wasp set for 2018, new release dates for Black Panther and Captain Marvel and three yet-to-be-announced Marvel movies scheduled for 2020.
