Even among this summer’s crowded lineup of blockbuster sequels, Fast and Furious 6 manages to stand out as one of the most highly anticipated releases of early summer. The trailers and promos so far have been gloriously high-octane, highlighting the fancy automotive tricks that are the series’ claim to fame.
The newest featurette highlights still more explosive new footage, but also reveals a bit more about the story and characters. Vin Diesel, Luke Evans, Michelle Rodriguez, and more discuss what’s driving the players, and how they bounce off of each other. Watch it after the jump.

The finale of the Dwayne Johnson Spring Movie Extravaganza comes May 24 with Fast and Furious 6. It’ll be The Rock’s third major film in three months and it features an expansion of his supporting role from Fast Five. Johnson returns as Luke Hobbs, a federal agent who puts aside his differences with Dom and Brian (Vin Diesel and Paul Walker) to help bring down a much worse criminal, played by Luke Evans.
Though we haven’t seen Fast and Furious 6 yet, one would assume Hobbs survives for the series finale, Fast and Furious 7, likely directed by James Wan. However, in a new interview, Johnson admits if the Fast Seven shooting schedule lines up as rumored (Vin Diesel said it’s shooting in Los Angeles this summer) he won’t be able to be part of it as he’ll be overseas shooting Brett Ratner’s Hercules.
Check out Johnson’s brand new, character-centric poster and read some quotes, below. Read More »
Though Fast and Furious fans are excited to be getting a new film soon, many took a moment of silence this week for Justin Lin‘s departure from the series. The director of the third, fourth, fifth and now sixth installments recently revealed that he wouldn’t return for Fast and Furious 7. Universal wants to rush it out next year, and he didn’t feel the schedule was creatively workable. This is the guy who took a franchise about racing cars a quarter mile at a time and turned it into a bona fide blockbuster action franchise. His touch will be missed.
That leaves Fast and Furious 7 in need of a director and Latino-Review is reporting three men are currently on the short list. They are Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2), Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) and Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid). Read More »
The final poster for the final Justin Lin Fast and Furious movie has just been released. The tagline reads “All Roads Lead To This,” with a full hero shot of Fast and Furious 6 cast members including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Jordana Brewster. Noticeably absent are the bad guys, including Luke Evans and Gina Carano. I’m sure we’ll get more of them as we approach the film’s May 24 release. Check it out below. Read More »

Fast cars, big muscles and scantily clothed women might be distinguishing aspects of the Fast and Furious movies, but they’re not what makes them good. What makes (some of) the five previous films good are the human relationships. At its heart, the Fast and Furious films are about family and in the first featurette for Fast and Furious 6, that’s prominently on display.
In the following video, co-stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez discuss the relationship between their characters, the reveal that Rodriguez’s character, Leddy, would be returning, and how that messes with Dom’s state of mind. It’s a very different look at the May 24th release from Justin Lin. Read More »
