We’re still a little under five months away from seeing how the Harry Potter cinematic universe expands with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The spin-off takes place about 80 years before the events of the Harry Potter film franchise, but this time over in the wizarding world of the United States. Warner Bros. is betting big on J.K. Rowling and the world of Harry Potter. We already knew the first spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, written by Rowling and directed by David Yates, would be out on November 18, 2016. We also knew it was the first in a planned trilogy. But Wednesday, we learned much more.

Today, Warner Bros. took a machine gun to the movie release calendar and shot flags into 11 dates spread over the next six and a half years. Germain has written about the majority of those dates, which are for big DC Comic book superhero movies. I thought it was important to focus on the other two dates, which are both marked as “Untitled WB Event Film”. But we think we know what these dates might be — more Harry Potter movies.
