Cameron Crowe Untitled Hawaii

Doesn’t it feel nice to know Cameron Crowe has now been shooting his new movie for almost a month? The still untitled, Hawaii-based film stars Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Alec BaldwinBill MurrayDanny McBride, John Krasinski and Jay Baruchel in a story that follows ”a defense contractor (Cooper) who falls for an Air Force pilot (Stone) after he’s assigned to oversee the launch of a weapons satellite from Hawaii.”

The last few years have seen a great career upswing for Woody Allen, as his film Midnight in Paris helped re-ignite broad audience interest in his movies, and became his greatest commercial success. Blue Jasmine, starring Cate Blanchett, had a good run earlier this year, and now Allen is finishing his next film.

The new movie takes place in southern France and spans a couple of decades, roughly through the ’20s and ’30s. It stars Eileen Atkins, Colin Firth, Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater, Simon McBurney, Emma Stone, and Jacki Weaver. Now the title has been revealed to be Magic in the Moonlight (cringe) and the first production stills have also been unveiled. Christoph Waltz and Emma Stone Eyed for ‘Tarzan’

Christoph Waltz

After mixing it up with a good guy role in Django Unchained, Christoph Waltz could head back to the dark side for Tarzan. Warner Bros. and director David Yates reportedly want Waltz to play the villain in the big-budget adventure, opposite Alexander Skarsgard as the King of the Jungle.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Max Dillon and Spider-Man

Unless you were lucky enough to attend Comic-Con this past weekend, you’ve still got a ways to wait for the first glimpse at some real footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But until that comes, we have nine high-res pics to offer a closer look at the comic book sequel.

Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) features prominently in them, of course, along with Electro (Jamie Foxx), Rhino (Paul Giamatti), Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and more. We’ve followed the casting notes, perused the set photos, and soaked in the rumors. Today, we finally got to see some footage. We can’t show it to you yet, but we can go into details about what it contained.

During today’s Comic-Con panel at Hall H, Sony showed off a reel — essentially a trailer — from Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The video was a rough one, with incomplete effects and a couple of storyboards, but it was enough to offer us a good sense of the movie. And what we saw was pretty fantastic. Mia Wasikowska

Guillermo del Toro‘s Crimson Peak has been picking up A-listers at an impressive clip, but now the casting’s hit a bit of a snag. Emma Stone, who was the first star to sign on for the film back in January, has now dropped out.

Fortunately, del Toro’s already closing in on a more than suitable replacement. Mia Wasikowska is reportedly in talks to fill the part, provided she can get the scheduling to work out.
