As Iron Man and Thor bring Marvel’s Phase Two into theaters, some of the MCU’s less famous inhabitants will be making waves on the small screen this fall. ABC officially took Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to series last week, and has now announced plans to air it this fall on Tuesday nights.
We got a delicious first look at the new show by way of a 30-second promo this weekend, and now an even more extended trailer has dropped. Check it out after the jump, along with a bunch of new stills and clips.

I don’t think there was much doubt that the TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be ordered to series at ABC, but here’s your confirmation. The show exec produced by Joss Whedon (who also directed the pilot) will air on the Disney-owned network, and extend part of the story of The Avengers into a more everyday thriller territory on television.
That’s the first official cast photo above, and the first look at footage from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air this weekend, Sunday, May 12, at 8 p.m. before of the season finale of Once Upon a Time. Read More »

While nothing has been said officially, TV By The Numbers and IGN are reporting that ABC has picked up the Marvel television series spin-off Agents of SHIELD for a debut this Fall.
While ABC has not made an official announcement, they briefly (likely accidentally) published a video on their youtube page, a viral teaser for the upcoming show. The video shows some captured video of The Incredible Hulk causing destruction, captured from a distance. A small logo/badge that reads “Rising Tide” appears on the lower right hand part of the screen. While ABC has removed the video, it seems to still online elsewhere (for now). What sort of show will Joss Whedon‘s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series be? If you’ve assumed that it will be a lot like Whedon’s other shows, you’re probably correct.
So here’s what we’ve got on the show, which will help expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it also expands the reach of those characters to current live-action television. Ming-Na was cast as a top pilot and weapons expert Agent Melinda May, while Clark Gregg‘s late Agent Phil Coulson will appear in some fashion.
Now the show has added Elizabeth Henstridge (The Thompsons, and the CW pilot Shelter) and Iain De Caestecker, of UK series The Fades and Young James Herriot, and the upcoming Irvine Welsh film Filth.
