The Pitch Perfect 2 Super Bowl commercial was more or less similar to the first trailer but with some significant extensions, including the inclusion of the defense of the Green Bay Packers. It’s a shame The Hunger Games series gets filed into the “young adult” category. Sure, there’s some dystopian young romance in there, but with each subsequent film, the series proves it is about much more than unattainable love with sporadic action. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 takes the series to its furthest point from YA stereotypes yet.
However, what’s most interesting about this latest installment — the first part of a two-part finale — is just how different it is from the rest of the franchise. Is that a good thing? Below, read why The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 feels like a different franchise. Read More »
The Barden Bellas have already conquered the United States. In Pitch Perfect 2, they take on the world. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson lead the cast of the a capella sequel, which hits theaters May 15. This time, the Bellas will attempt to win the world a capella championships, something no U.S. team has ever done. Along they way they’ll bond, go camping, haze new recruits and explore what looks like an underground world of a capella that includes David Cross, NFL star Clay Matthews and more.
But Pitch Perfect 2 isn’t all fun and games, as you’ll see right at the beginning of this trailer. It looks like there’s gonna be some emotion along side the jokes, part of the formula that made the 2012 original such a big cult hit. Below, watch the first Pitch Perfect 2 trailer.
UPDATE: We’ve added a bunch of photos from the set of the film. Check them out below. Read More »

As fans scramble for information on high-profile 2015 sequels to Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Avengers and Terminator, there’s another we know even less about. That’s Pitch Perfect 2, the sequel to the 2012 cult hit about competitive a capella singing. We know that most, if not all of the original cast is back, and that producer Elizabeth Banks is directing from a script by original writer Kay Cannon. Rumor has it the story takes place a few years after the original film. But really that’s all we know. How do the older characters return? What are the stakes? Who are the bad guys? We know almost nothing about those things.
That last question has now partially been answered. A famous a capella group called the Pentatonix, winners of the 3rd season of NBC’s The Sing-Off, have announced they’re playing rivals to the Barden Bellas, which includes Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. Read More »
